NA Asc 1 here and going negative in almost every game but still winning like 50% of the time.

I play smokes, clove, omen, astra I'm comfortable with vandal/phantom.

Do any immo players have any advice for me to rank up? I will I start vod reviewing my losses and do aim training but do ya'll have any other general advice or specific to you that got you out of ascendant?

Like were there any big "aha" moments that signicantly improved your aim / gamesense?

Iloveless come.

thanks, nut

take silly timings sometimes, surprise ur opponents
play more deathmatch, preferably 10-15 per day
make sure ur actively involved in every round, dont just sit around waiting for ur teammates to do stuff, swing with them, flash for them etc etc

I’m plat, is it worth to just sacrifice the 1-2 hours and play 10 deathmatches per day?

basically the way i did it was by mental strength maxxing and just playing my own game, second my team says some bullshit i just mute everyone because it isnt worth my mental energy, as for getting better at the game the best method is to spam deathmatches, i dont personally vod review ranked games so i cant really say how effective it is. every radiant/pro i've asked just says to deathmatch for hours on end if you want to hit radiant. confidence is also a big thing for performing better in ranked, be confident in your swings and plays, you cant be nervous or scared when you're taking fights or making decisions, you will catch so many people in ascendant by surprise by just swinging them because you believe that you're better than them

This is a good tip.
Also remember peeking when exhaling. You have better reaction times while doing so.
Control your breath to do it like that, else you will lose every 1v1 if you breathe in when peeking.

muting everyone is kinda the opposite of having great mental fortitude, just ingore any hostility, give out comms, be a positive influence. Withdrawing immediately makes losing the game more likely as people see a muted teammate as them not trying. its different for women/people with easy to pick on voices, but generally people get bored of being toxic if youre always positive and the rest of the team like you

its my method to never get tilted when im queuing multiple games in a row, the moment i realize that my team isnt going to say anything helpful or constructive all game im going to mute them and focus on myself because i am the only aspect of the game i can control

if two people are perma arguing even mid round then ofc its more beneficial to just mute them what?

acting like you cant intermediate the argument, settle others mental and improve the vibe. You are allowed to talk

Play more, however much youre playing, its not enough. Warm up a lot as well. Mental is by far the BIGGEST hurdle, I dont mean just not malding or giving up, but having the mental to continue to call in game even when playing bad is huge. If youre not fragging out, admit it and curve your ego, and help some other way. Judge, Odin, or OP, literally anything to help the team if the rifle isnt hitting.

First thing I'd do is turn on the monitor.
