maybe its different on BR servers but I think nowadays Valorant in EU is definitely one of the worst. The thing is, the community used to be one of the best but its gotten way worse.
I think the big thing that changed for me is that playing the game casually is dead.
Want to play Unrated? Immo player leveling up their smurf
Want to play swiftplay? Immo player "cooling down" after a day of comp
Want to play DM or TDM? Immo player warming up
and the thing is, some ppl will read that and think "Oh, he salty cause he gets shit on" but the thing is, im a dia-asc level player, I can kill/beat these guys, its just not fun is all. And casual players shouldnt have to have 2000 ish hours in FPS games over years of playing like I do just to be able to even compete.
But the "Immo problem" aint even cause theyre good, its also cause they think theyre gods gift for getting red rank in a video game.
The inspiration for this post was a swiftplay game I had today where I 1-tapped a guy with a sheriff on pistol, he then proceeded to pull up my tracker, call me a diamond shitter, say Im too scared to play comp etc. (I have played like 15 games over the last 2 years), then for the rest of the game he would shit talk me everytime, shit talk my teammates, be sexist to his own sage and I just thought to myself: "wtf?!"
obviously thats 1 game and every community has morons in it, but my point is that its damn near every game nowadays, regardless of mode, where someone is treating it like life or death, being racist/sexist/homophobic, making weird noises down the mic, just being really anti-social in general
also sidenote but as much as I hate to say it, a lot of the cancer on EU servers is English people. Those, the French and the Turks are like Hitler, Stalin and Mussolini. its not all of them, but its always an English eboy, a french KC/M8 classic owner or a Turkish guy.
The Valorant esports is great tho except for a few bubbles (kpop esports twitter), love my vlr plebs
