Think as hard as you can for a second (hard task for your flair as expected), if you're competing for a champs level prize pool of money and against the top teams in the world , won't you put as effort as possible to win?
It's great practice against great opponents and a huge prize pool, or you think the players compete in Val for glory instead of money?

Ah yes a tourney that during qualifiers half the teams were full of subs or new players followed by a a one map opening match where a bunch of teams still had subs or new rosters, followed by a single elim playoffs bracket, all while happening right after a big masters tourney and in the middle of China stage 2 while taking place on a previous valorant patch just screams competitive non mickey mouse.
it would be funnier to count TH and discredit EWC so that Gold2 would be in the same group as the worst chokers in VCT history
