I’ve been watching Valorant Champions Tour for five years. The first event I ever watched was VALORANT Champions 2022, and in the opening match I saw Rb and DRX come back from 4–12 against FURIA. When Rb hit 4K to bring the team over the line, I fell in love with him as a player.
Since then, I’ve watched the entire journey. I saw him help DRX reach the top 3 at Champions 22 and LOCK//IN. I watched the highs and lows of the 2023 season, the constant roster drama with Foxy9, and then the heartbreak of seeing him dropped at the end of the year. It sucked—but I kept supporting him.
I watched him go to China when it wasnt even a t2 region. I watched him play with teammates who wouldnt make it in my ranked lobbies. Yet he was tiers above everyone, playing every role, every agent, even stepping up to IGL. He did all of this in a region where he wasn’t even speaking his main language, but still came up short.
Then came the return to Pacific. Another chance, another run… and another disappointment. I watched him get pushed all the way down to Ascension despite being on what was the fifth-best team in the league. But he fought back with a new roster.
I watched him go undefeated through Kickoff and Masters, and today, after years of grinding and setbacks, I finally got to watch him lift his first trophy.
For years people mocked me for supporting him. I got called delusional. I got told “Rb is nothing without DRX.” I watched people say he would never make it as a tier-one player and that he should just give up.
But I never stopped believing.
And today I got to watch my GOAT win it all.
I’m so happy for you, Rb. What a journey it’s been.
Here’s to the first of many trophies. ❤️🏆
