How high does this masters rank for you in terms of entertainment compared to past masters? Finals still left so that might change my ranking but low-key this master has been quite boring overall. Swiss stage was so ass and playoffs for me haven't been that fun.

The current meta is starting to get boring too for me and yeah as you said lot of boring games despite the good matchups. Also it's like everyone is starting to play or try playing the same way so it's boring for me cause there is no big outlier aside from nrg. Main reason is boring games tho for me.

We had teams like M8, TL, AG, NS, XLG which were boring to watch so there wasn't even any hype for Santiago when the tournament started

Being undefeated doesn't make them an interesting team to watch. They went with the meta and made their way through which is a good thing but still PRX vs NS is gonna be one of the worst Masters Finals oat
all of those teams earned their ways in tho and m8 has many hype due to the marteen kills record broken. NS has dambi. TL stomped ur flair. the story of the newcomers is always great
The story might be great but no one likes watching these teams at a Masters event and that too 3 boring teams being the 1st seed except BBL

NRG - first back to back champ-masters trophy
PRX - back to back masters + most consistent top team dethroning fnc
G2 - The next uncrowned prince to be crowned

BBL vs NRG map 3 and PRX vs NRG were the only interesting games pretty much (AG vs M8 upset was too ig)
compared to Masters Copenhagen theme and bangers, Santiago is like 10% of that.
nah im ngl santiago has a pretty weak storyline overall
many of the teams here are unknown and have zero international experience
there isn't really a protagonist from what it feels like, unlike champs 23 with demon1/EG homecrowd run, shanghai with GENG getting the first apac trophy, SEN with tenz at madrid, etc
even in top 4 its 2 winners from last year and a finalist, only interesting team here is NS

idk new names is nice but having too many just makes it hard for me to be invested in them, especially if they don't really perform
I personally favor having 1-2 underdog new teams and the rest being experienced veterans who have been hunting for a win for years
rookies winning a international has less emotional impact for me than if someone who has tried for years and failed finally wins
alright fair yeah, in the end the experienced G2, PRX, and NRG are the ones who farmed (LULquid and T0 fraud as usual). NS looks promising

I am bit biased cause for me Tokyo edg is like top 3 most fun team I have ever watched in Val till date. And despite teams having sub and shit it still had banger moments and games.

nah this masters has been good the crowd is amazing and the venue is good which most masters have ass venues. not the best games tbf especially swiss stage but i feel like your not taking the venue into account at all shanghai was played mostly in a studio also santiago clears toronto already
Yeah I am just ranking them based on pure entertainment factor like the games. Not considering the crowd. Also Toronto had prx/fnc matchup and wolves underdog run and geng looking like the best team for some time and games were close as well. That was more fun than Santiago so far ngl.
story lines sure but like toronto also had sentinels, rrq, and xlg with a sub in playoffs literally all of those matches were terrible almost every santiago match in playoffs has been fun
Almost every match being fun is a stretch lol. Also wolves underdog run and fnc prx matchups made Toronto way more fun for me.
Santiago was mid in groups, and playoffs were hit and miss. Some games were good but some were bad G2 vs AG and any BBL game.
Surprised so many people are down on Madrid, was honestly my favourite, PRX vs TH lives in my head rent free, their Split being my favourite map of all time
yeah but it was ranked on entertainment, that event had so much entertaining stuff that I can still remember, I never said it was the most impressive one to win
the fact that i have a near perfect playoffs pickems goes to show how few upsets happen
like when the biggest upset of the entire event is AG beating M8 you know you got some boring matches on your hands
pretty good except for Lockin should be #1 despite the single elim format cuz that event was hype af... amazing grandfinale as well
