The mindfreak hate is so dumb. Like he's not an amazing player but to hate on him even when he's not the reason they lost is beyond stupid
Okay I’m not trying to hate on him or anything, but you can’t seriously believe that icy was the reason why they were able to beat PRX when it was really mindfreak stepping down to fix the teams role issues + PRX improving as a team overall
I think it's completely disingenuous to act as if Icy stepping up in these games didn't help G2 beat PRX. I am not gonna act like he's the truth to beating PRX but he certainly was a major part of the reason they were able to win these games. Mindfreak wasn't the issue in either of these games. I agree that Mindfreak stepping down helped PRX sort out their role issues but it's completely ridiculous to say that in this context when:
- Jinggg and Something didn't have the agent pool back then that they do now, so how can mindfreak is a non-issue since he didn't have role clashes with them
- More importantly, if you actually think about the context, the 2024 meta allowed PRX to run raze/jett on more maps than they could now
PRX didn't lose to G2 because of role issues or mindfreak playing badly. PRX lost to G2 because G2 were the better team at the time. It just so happens to coincide that Icy was on the team when G2 were better than PRX.
