Chronicle vs Ethan GOAT Debate

We are in the midst of the 6th season of VCT and 7th year of professional VALORANT. Finally we can start having dignified discussions about who the GOAT is. Right now I think Chronicle has the best case for the title of GOAT, but if NRG wins Santiago, Ethan will have a great case. To entertain the debate, let's compare Chronicle and Ethan's achievements. I'm not going to include individual statistical performance, since that would take way too long to compile, but I think most fans are at a consensus that both players have been consistently good across their careers. You can definitely argue one is above the other, but most people can agree that team achievements and tournament wins are far more important anyway.

Who do you think has the better case? If NRG wins Santiago, Ethan will have the same number of major tournament wins as Chronicle.

I think ethan is in top 3 almost tied with Aspas atm. If he wins santiago he'll Definitely have a stronger case, surpass aspas by a mile, and maybe surpass Chronicle on the goat leaderboard. I've said this before and I'll say it again, Ethan's two champs trophies have a lot more weight than Chron's masters titles. In champs, you're up against the best teams of each year, each team was warmed up, had their best players for the year, had their strats decided, had time to test everything and settled into their roles. there isn't any "Oh we still have the year to prep." "They're saving strats for next tourney!" THIS IS THE TOURNAMENT YOU SAVED STUFF FOR. Teams don't fluke to champs, and when/if they do they' get grouped (Unless you're GX or Acend for some reason but ykwim). Ethan beat out the best teams of 2023 AND 2025 and is damn close to taking a masters title just to add a cherry to the sundae.

If that's not GOAT worthy IDK what is.
