No crying children, no moaning girls, no mc that acts like a chicken when a girl is near him.
good examples of serious anime i've watched:
code geass
death note
tokyo ghoul
attack on titan
dead man wonderland

People who think Chainsaw man isn't serious have no media literacy. Jokes=/= unseriousness
One Piece. Deals with topics of racism, human trafficking, slavery, and government corruption. All while about a stretchy idiot wanting to be the freest man on the seas
then you might like Jojo's bizarre adventure.
what I think you'll like:
Fights are more strategic than most "Punch, Kick, Stab, win" fights I see. (similar to CG)
Creative power system
Not much sappy shit you described in the beginning.
MC's are pretty smart and capable (especially Jotaro)
what I think you won't like:
Jojo is slow, starts with AOT level brutality, but then really ramps up in Part 3.
Very Theatrical-dark, not very psychological Like death note. Feels like watching a Non-musical play rather than something that could actually happen.
The tone also fluctuates between parts.
If you can get through the downsides, I think It might become one of your favorites.
Just search seinen animes. Some examples are monster, Vinland saga, Hellsing, etc.
Cowboy Bebop
Samurai Champloo
Hxh
Trigun (original version)
Parasyte (you’d like this one I think)
One Outs (baseball death note-ish)
Odd Taxi
FMAB
