What has he done before or which team was he before?
He was hyped by people and vitality.
I am not hating just genuinely want to know if he played on any other team or he got picked from rank like karon

that is not why
its because of his ranked gameplay
he never even farmed tier 2 where did that come from
He did tho. Not only was he fragging hard but he also played different agents and showed flexibility. Maybe not farmed every game, but he was very good on average and had some very high fragging games/maps. He is like wo0t and is/was also very young so real potential.
ranked was the main reason hes known as a crazy ranked player
and then when he also performed in scrims he got picked up
how do yal not know this
Maybe partly, but the time he was on tier 2 he was very good. People started talking about him after he had some very high fragging maps like that one Lotus where he dropped high kills. He is very good ranked player as well but I for example had no idea of him before I saw some of his tier 2 matches and I don't think I'm only one.
so you're just gonna act like 1.5 years of farming T2 didn't happen and didn't change anything to how sought after he was?
so was it like 35% of the reason or 53% maybe even 67% who knows?
(u understand that quantifying it doesn't make sense right? but I can tell you that most people who are not players don't know shit about ranked, but when they see a kid farming ascension it definitely make them think that the player in question is quite interesting)
His ranked gameplay was the reason he was scouted onto KPI
the reason he is as known as he is now is because of his time in tier 2 + his small stint on FNC and VIT acad
I think you're mistaken in the way you think abt the valorant community. You know that cane is a ranked demon because you're in the spaces that talk about these things and you get his vods on ytb, etc... but for the large majority of the community, including guys who work in the scene but don't touch the game much, the first time they heard about him was because of rankers
you're wrong. most people know who he is because of his crazy ranked clips and vods.
trust me i know a lot better about cane than you do and also sayonara it looks like. https://imgur.com/a/a7sNfs2
he farmed all of emea at 16 yo
played in spain at the very beggining of his career -> farmed spain
-> made it to ascension the same season right after that -> farmed ascension
-> played in france -> farmed france for all the time he was there (unfortunately his team sucked ass and was eventually kicked from the league because the org was responsible for fights between fans at the venue for an IRL event)
Basically ever since he was 15 he continusly farmed ranked and then T2 with insane consistency
I do not see them being better than they are now , yeah they might beat more teams but whats he gonna do ? Pull off marteen numbers?
Okay i just checked his vlr stats , he might be very good for the team but vit wont be top 1 or top 2 team. Emea is stacked with very good rookies plus sayonara hasn’t been playing for long
I don't root for Vitality and I don't really want them to succeed so I agree with that, but your comment about them not being better was just pure delusion
What i meant is they will not be better than the top guys of the emea like bbl , Tl , m8 and fnatic
I can definitely see them overtake Liquid, but more than that will be tough yea
finally i found a good comment which is not glazing vitality, cause i have same thoughts as yours
sayo is a good player, but idk how he will perform when regular split starts, also i dont have any expectations about vitality when they play with a full roster (when sayo turned 18). but we'll see it
(i doesn't watch memea clash, cause i didn't take it seriously. and as i said before it's not a regular season)
this is a lot of context but this is how i can explain it
KPI in 2024 was B1SK+Insider+dimaxx+purp0+zeddy
purp0 was by far the best player in the T2
so GX signed him in March
KPI needed a new player in the middle of the season and brought Sayonara (a 16yo)
that worked perfectly and KPI won the league with Sayo being the second best player of the season (behind purp0)
https://www.vlr.gg/324469/kpi-gaming-vs-case-esports-challengers-league-2024-spain-rising-split-1-playoffs-gf
then in the split 2 KPI lost in semifinals against Barca after -Insider +Kiles
still Sayonara was by far the best player in the league
KPI qualified for ascension play-ins, they lost the final against CGN but Sayo was the 2nd best player just behind aNguiSt
FNC got him for Off-Season as an stand-In for Leo/hiro in the RB HG where he showed his level
2025:
in October DVM signed Sayonara (then he was a stand-In for FNC) he played there the first split
he was by far the best player and demolished but they lost to Joblife in Semifinals
VIT bought the DVM roster for Split 2 playoffs as "vit.revolution" they got 4th losing against Mandatory, but again Sayo was ranked the best player in the league (VIT also signed him as their 2026 player when they bought DVM roster, he was only playing at T2 because he was still 17)
AND IN MARCH 4TH he turns 18
so now we will be able to see him in VCT after 2 years of him being the best T2 player
NOW MY OPINION AS SOMEONE THAT FOLLOWED A LOT SPAIN LEAGUE AND SAYONARA
he has always been a great talent in every possible way, great aim, great utility and very clutch
he is like a better Chronicle (Sova, Viper, Breach, Skye, Kayo, Raze) and i hope he becomes the GOAT
he played well in t2, he wasn't putting prime canezerra numbers or anything like that, but it was a solid performance, especially for a flex
Sayonara was wanted by almost every tier 1 org after his performances @ KPI , he had the ability to not play tier 2 the next year and wait until he turned 18 but its obviously better he kept playing and stayed in shape for when he turns 18, therefore he joined DVM, he was always wanted by tier 1, and it was because of his performance in KPI / scrims against good teams while also being #1 in ranked consistently, hes a great kid with a great future.
first time i see foxie not hard flaming someone on here....goes to show how generational sayonara is
