SEN yay (hear me out)

ok first of all in all seriousness, SEN should keep the roster intact for at least stage 1 (my personal opinion)
but if SEN where to make a change i think the perfect one is: -kyu +yay (johnqt back to igl)
why?
as you may have noticed, ever since TenZ left SEN matches dont feel that much hype (at least to me),
now i'll admit i dont know any better since i just started watching from 2024 (my 1st intl watch was madrid)
but in my perspective, a big appeal about supporting SEN was the comeback of TenZ as one the greats. And I got to see that to a certain extent in 2024 until he retired.

I feel like the current SEN is getting alot more hate than love because that redemption/comeback appeal isnt there with the current players
But imagine they get yay, the fanbase will be revitalised, and that appeal with the team will be stronger than ever (getting to see yay make a redemption arc)
And ofcourse it is a firepower upgrade too. The rest of the players can stay.

Also since Tarik is falling off maybe get FNS as your CC? with yay on the team, im sure he might have a reason to accept...

EG is terrible as an org in terms of content and fanbase, no wonder he didnt make them popular. But SEN is different.

Problem with sen isn't just the comeback appeal you're talking about.

But the fact they

lost the 3 Fan favorite players (Zellsis, TenZ, and Sacy.)

Picked up Kyu

Went from looking really good to really awful FAST.

and picked up Kyu

THey can't fix problem one, but a quick fix can get problems two and four taken care of.

Sen has massive role issues, John is a senti igl stuck playing as a normal Flex, Cortezia is a smokes player with a good senti, but is forced to play both depending on the map, Narr4te is playing fucking duelist, and reduxx is stuck on smokes. The only role that makes sense is kyu's scan/IGL, and he's not showing that he knows how a sonar dart works.

Pick up JonahP as flex, put Narr4te back on scans, John back on Senti/IGL, Cortez main smoker, and Reduxx main duelist. SEN is fixed. Yeah they may not be able to play as many meta comps, mostly struggling with double duelist. But it lays a foundation to build on later.

i agree with you when the focus is winning
but my focus was not mainly winning, but more on increasing their clout/entertainment value, winning can happen with any roster really if luckily it all clicks, with a change like the one u suggested it only really increases the winning chances, but not the clout.
And among the 2025 G2 players, JonahP had the LEAST aura

There aren't many players that can do that who aren't either retired or already taken by another org. IG you could grab someone like marved or victor? But even then you have cortez/Reduxx, I think sen is trying to focus on making players with that entertainment value rather than grabbing ones that already have it. SEN has a viewer base that believes in them, and they're banking on them staying through the teambuilding process.

i believe the only player that can do that is yay.
But if as you said SEN is looking to "make" players like that instead of grabbing the ones that already "are", then as I already said in my original post, SEN should not make any changes. I mean who knows, what if something clicks and kyu becomes the next great IGL.
