EMEA duelists

EMEA duelists are rarely the best players in their team and usually they are ranked just above the igl in terms of fragging. You can just see across the board:
M8: Best: Minny duelists are 3rd and 4th
NAVI: Best: Hiro and Ruxic
TH: Best: Riens
GX: Best: Westside? Its certainly not ara tho
etc.
Only teams where you might argue their best players are duelists are VIT, FNC and BBL. Thats it.
Meanwhile in other regions almost every teams best player is their duelist.

Its not only duelists fault tho. EMEA have very weird read on the meta where duelists are not given chances to frag. Just look at GX Abyss solo waylay, so many teams solo Yoru on Haven, some teams solo waylay on Corrode.
If they want their solo duelist to succeed and frag more they have to play neon, raze or jett.

How is solo yoru Haven ideal comp? Its not gonna get any rounds on attack if the opponent just holds chokes. Neon is good on defense anyway for fast floods, fast rotates and even oping (remember how texture awped with neon).
Solo waylay Abyss might work out but duelist is gonna have rough time compared to double duelist with yoru

Well you said it yourself, they dont rely on high frag duelists and that is why they dont prioritize it. Its like CS where most entry fraggers aren't stars as its their main job to just get traded by actual stars.

Propably bcs eu playstyle isn't: duelist go frag they are playing together whoever kills kills what gets them the best chance to win a round and obviously they dont have aspas

well emea must not have a lot of great players then since tl decided to put 3 duelists mains on their team

I feel like they should change this playstyle tho. Valorant as a game is designed for duelists to frag more and take over, duelists have the best signature abilities and best ults imo, all the initiator util is to set them up for success, smokes are for them to enter sites safely and even sentis job is to stop duelists.
That might be the reason why EU hasnt won a trophy since 2023 cuz dounle duelist APAC and star-duelist NA playstyles are just better

Ara went 1-4 in first engagements on attack. I still think that Abyss comp isnt that good

i agree with your take that emea has a duelist problem but your thing about the duelist being most teams best player in the other regions is just not true

generally ur best player doesnt hard entry btw this is true for most winning teams
