They had nothing to lose when they made it to the qtrs, after that they were grinding for the trophy. Had they have the mentality of "we have nothing to lose" they wouldnt even have defeated Fnatic.
No team plays in such a big tournament thinking "we have nothing to lose".

Yes, that's one of the things League of Legends viewers complain about the Asian/EMEA/NA crowd: they don't know how to root properly. Every time we had LAN international championships in Brazil/LATAM in general with fans, what they most praised was how they support any team in the game. We will applaud anyone there, we will cheer for any move. If some people start to watch ANY of the international LAN events that happened here on South America, they'll know how a REAL crowd will cheer for the teams in stage. When we lose? applaud. When we win? Oh boy, you will feel the arena shaking.

When someone lands a headshot with DK and you hear "UUUUUUUHHHHH!!"
Its magical, in EU the people barely sing, don't insult, don't scream, it feels... Empty, in US worst, just hearing "let's go liquid" cringes me to death.
Instead here you have that guy from atletico mineiro screaming "EU FICO MUITO TRISTE POR NOTICIA DESSAS FILHO DA PUTA Tres tiros explode "

Yeah. If it were in China, they wouldn't make that much noise for non-Chinese teams. But, they do go insane for Chinese teams - https://twitter.com/ran_lpl/status/1456985685743783941.

Same goes for parts of EU too, but I think some nations will cheer well for both sides.

Well literally only Denmark has shitty and very biased crowds. Cologne and Katowice have great ones. Boston has the best crowd. Literally ever kill in the c9 Major you heard a roar from the crowd. Reminds me of watching a playoff game for baseball, hockey, pretty much every sport.

Blast was in talks to adding Argentina to the blast tour for cs btw

South America thinks riot don't give them chance in esport games well the only relevent R6

Reminds me of the Atlanta braves and Washington nationals crowds from the World Series (ik you probably don’t follow) but when they clinched the World Series and won on the road. Their home stadium was packed to the brim with fans watching at the stadium and it went nuts when they won.

Yeah who knows. I know there was talks of blast worlds for cs being held in Bueno Aires but they said they aren’t having a crowd for this event which sucks. But there was also talks of Argentina being added to the tour for Blast next year so who knows.

Knowing riot it is most likely they will have 1-2 events in either NA or EU and 1 in Korea possibly.

Sen definitely could. But, this specific instance was mainly due to the insane underdog run. The same thing happened with C9 in CS, when they won the Major out of nowhere - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rM0S5w62cXM .

I'd go so far as to say any NA / EU / BR / LATAM team on an underdog run could definitely pull a crowd like this. Obviously, I don't think it would be possible for KR or CIS since they have no viewers. Idk about JP crowds, but the fanbase is def there too.

But thats at a CSGO venue, feels a bit different than what KRU did here. This looks more similar to a WC soccer match with big screen and crowd cheering at home. I just cant imagine that in Dallas there would be 5-10k people going out to watch Envy or even Sentinels. Pretty insane that KRU can pull this off in the first year with no notable org in other sports

You're 100% correct. It's impossible to tell if this type of fan reaction would be possible anywhere else since it's entirely unprecedented (outside of China, https://twitter.com/niiicolo/status/1457043751478562816 ).

Still, I think it would be possible for very popular teams.

And you don't know how the crowd behaves in LATAM, we're a region used to giving love and support in a very vocal way, of course you will recieve death threats when you flame a passionate public, especially the BRs.
That kind of banter is common in the lol community where only LPL, KR, NA and EU matters, but Valorant has a dose of a lot of people from the csgo community, where LATAM and CIS compose the 70% of the public. So get used to see BR manos around here, because you will be seeing us really often...

Lol baseball, hockey, football, and basketball are all having full crowds and fans with no issues. Hockey requires you to have a negative Covid test or vacciné card to go into the arena.
