Why do people complain that I have VC turned off in ranked? Just look at pings instead it’s not that hard

Depends on the rank, high elo you need nuanced comms. Also if you are fragging, they probably wont complain. If you aren't fragging or talking, you are not helping the team win.

jus give the bare minimum (damage comms, info, rotates, etc...)
half of the time low ranked comms are shit and gives literally negative value
no comm is better than shit comm
im not saying ur incapable of giving useful comms but even if you do theres no guarantee that your teammate will capitalize on it
in my yesterdays ranked game our clove and sage was in 2v1 postplant situation on abyss b, sage told clove that she didnt have much bullets in her gun but somehow clove decided to push ct and leave sage behind b main instead of falling back and playing with sage
I have VC turned off until mid Immortal lobbies. I'll still ping or type damage/strats.
As a veteran CSGO player, I would rather get a lobotomy than listen to the comms in green rank 😭😭
pings are the most easy mode overpowered thing Valorant has so why wouldnt you look at pings
i look at pings, idk where u got from that i dont. But whats the point of having comms turned off if u have a mic and can use it? u dont have to have conversations, literally just give a callout like "steps b" or something like that, its not that hard
There are multiple reasons why someone might not want to talk. No mic, noisy room, insecurities like language/pronunciation/voice etc, bad experience like many women have, no idea of callouts etc. Ping was made so people can give information even when not using mic.
That is known, but irrelevant to the situation since the op clearly knows english, and it just seems like they don't want to speak. If you have a mic, the mental capacity to speak and you're playing comp, just give simple callouts, literally bare minimum. You don't see people during meetings for example, sitting and writing words on a piece of paper to show the rest of the room instead of just speaking. Be a normal human being.

It also remove urgency, let's say you play sova and spot someone in the smoke but your teammate are starting to go in the smoke

i agree, and a normal ping can mean literally anything when there isnt any other comm connected to it. Only time you know what a ping means is when its the danger ping, but someone who has comms turned off dont spam the danger ping everytime they ping something
I usually start with comms on but half the time my teammates are just that insufferable I have to turn them off

hes already doing that himself by not being a decent human being and comming like the rest of his team
i mean im not gonna defend the pings shit, that's a pretty horrible replacement for actual voice comms. but its completely understandable to just not wanna talk to the losers that play this game lol.
It's doable if you're on a bait role, but it sucks ass when you're holding an aggressive angle and can't take your eyes off your crosshair and then the enemies take the other site without your teammates saying anything
In green rank like 90% of the players just want to compare their money, jobs, gf, etc.. I remember two teammates arguing over who was better looking on Instagram. Yeah just mute voice comms until Immortal where people are usually more serious about winning.

- pings dont help in most situations. a lot of the times people are in situations where they cant look off their crosshair or lose focus
no. just get comms or average a 1.5 kd or im throwing ur elo. Side note: u stink
