its atleast worth the same as the first masters of the year. let me explain. so bangkok 8 teams, ewc 16 teams. to win the whole tournament u have to get through groups and win 3 times in playoffs. ewc u lose ur out, bangkok double elim. some ppl might argue that the teams at ewc aren't as prepared as for other events. maybe yeah but in the first tournament of the year a lot of teams have completely new rosters and play shit at the beginning so its easier to win imo

Gen G had ONE bad tournament, they made the grand finals of everything EXCEPT for champs. Both PRX and Fnatic haven’t gone CLOSE to the level of dominance 24 Gen G had, and even then there was a little debate if they were actually the toty
So yes, in the case NRG win yeah I would consider them the toty, because 1 regional + 1 masters < champs and 1 regional + 2gf < 1 champs
For sure Team of the year. Honestly as much as I want NRG to win. FNC winning this will be an amazing finale to the year. back to back to back grand finals and finally closes it out to give EMEA another trophy after 3 years and being the only team that actually does something from europe. Whoever wins lets hope for a 5 map banger. VAMOS

It was single elim instead of double elim, there was almost no down time going into the event from the end of Toronto, several teams at Toronto didn't play, and had nothing at stake in terms of chances of making Champs

yeah i agree with geng. i was just curious. idk for me its really hard to give it to nrg if they win because its called team of the year for a reason. so i would value consistency more but on the other side if u place 2nd 3 times like fnc if they lose tomorrow u still did great but your also one of the biggest chokers ever. if they won atleast 1 international it would be way easier to debate
