I remember after Toronto a lot of people (Including myself) were saying Alfa should've still gotten MVP because of simply how insane his performance was compared to everyone else, but the responses were always "No, you literally cannot be the most valuable player if you didn't win" so I think if that is the rule we are sticking with then it should apply to everyone, and while Aspas has pulled off some of the most insane games and stats we've ever seen, we can't just change the logic to suit people, you have to win to be MVP. Do you guys believe you can be awarded the most valuable player despite losing, or not?

He’s 100% not carried if u were watching the game instead of stats, he was the victor to less’s yay that tournament, but I agree mvp should have been pancada or less (best in playoffs) and fmvp sacy
Even tho aspas is probably gonna be the real mvp of this tournament, the official mvp for every tournament should go to someone on the winning team. consider this as a finals mvp if you will. however if we are doing something like a full season mvp, the player dosent have to win a international

Imo aspas finals MVP comes down to a simple thing: the game was still very heavily eye-test based back then, and aspas had multiple insane moments even if his overall numbers weren't too great.
This round for example; diffing Yay was probably the biggest eye test that year, and that round basically won them Champs. And I think they felt almost compelled to give it to the only opponent who pushed Yay all year, and not just based on the finals/event performance. But I agree, Sacy was just on a different level that final.
