Imo aspas finals MVP comes down to a simple thing: the game was still very heavily eye-test based back then, and aspas had multiple insane moments even if his overall numbers weren't too great.

This round for example; diffing Yay was probably the biggest eye test that year, and that round basically won them Champs. And I think they felt almost compelled to give it to the only opponent who pushed Yay all year, and not just based on the finals/event performance. But I agree, Sacy was just on a different level that final.

LOL.

But tbh any sane SEN fan knew they were highly likely to get grouped. I just want to watch good Valorant with teams at their best, especially when everyone seems so close in skill level this tourney. This schedule makes it a bit harder for that.

Almost no team is perfect on every map. It's hard enough fighting when your 2 best maps are going to get banned. This feels a bit too much.

Theoretically, if one of DRX/MIBR/PRX/Heretics make GF, they have to play back to back to back games on 10/3, 10/4, 10/5, with 2 of them being bo5.

Upper bracket winner already gets a massive advantage with 2 map vetos. This just feels overly fucked for a team coming through lower bracket no?

EDIT: Same for loser of NRG/FNC as well, feels quite stacked for upper final winner.

Feels like sentinel info is so valuable on this map though.

Personally (although I don't see this happening), I'd love to see Jingg and Forsaken as duelist/smoke, and Something on Chamber. I think the slower play style and attack awp would suit him a lot.

Haha would be awesome but I think in that case they'll probably still put Foresaken on Fade and Patmen on Viper

Jingg: Sage
Foresaken: Omen
Davai: Viper
Patmen: Fade
Something: Jett

(Jett is pretty weak but I don't think they'll play Something as solo Yoru. Alternative is Foresaken: Yoru, Something: Sova, Davai: Omen, Patmen: Viper)

Hahaha that's fair, but even though yoru is OP, it doesn't feel overbearing with teams still playing a lot of Raze and Neon and even Jett and Iso. Compared to when, for example, Chamber or Astra were the default exclusive picks.

I think partly because Yoru is definitely a harder agent to master for pro play level compared to these other dominating metas.

Title. Typically there's always been a dominating agent (Chamber, Skye, Astra, Harbor/Viper, Tejo) but this meta feels very heavily balanced (maybe a bit biased towards Omen and Viper).

We're also seeing teams choose between double duelist/ini/controller/senti based on their players and play style, leading to diversity. Teams like PRX and KRU might incline towards double duelist whereas teams like Sen might incline towards double sentinel or double controller due to their player styles. This might also be why G2 (once Leaf is back) and Fnatic seem so strong, because they can switch between double anything due to their player versatility.

Off-topic but happy to see Lukxo up there, the kid is genuinely built different

Aspas didn't almost single-handedly win a map (Breeze) in the Champs final by awp diffing prime yay to get disrespected like this (no hate to Meteor I think he's spectacular)
