worse than superpower (superpower has the vibe of being a champs song)
worse than ticking away (duh)
worse than fire again (because at least fire again felt like a champs song)
worse than die for you (duh)

Worlds:
worse than heavy is the crown (shit is a banger go listen if you haven't)
worse than gods (newjeans !!!)
worse than starwalkin? (this is the one i see as a contender for worst because both of them don't fit the hype for a world championship vibe)
worse than burn it all down (easily)
worse than phoenix? (this one is less so a contender for worst because it is very much a cool song, but you can argue its doesn't fit the vibe of a world championship)
worse than rise (duh)
worse than legends never die (duh)
ignite is ass i will give it to them they did make a better song than ignite

idk, maybe it'll grow on me like it did superpower but i just dont feel the vibe for a champions level event yk
would have much preferred this to be one of the songs they did for the agent releasea

I didn't like superpower and fire again initially but listening to them few times made me like it. Maybe if I listen this champs song some times I will start liking it

Truth bomb, superpower was so mid the first few times I listened to it. Aged better as I listened to it again and again. Same with fire again. I actually dont have a problem with this champs anthem as its a perfectly fine song. Its just the hype around the song reveal was so high that it was definitely worse than what we expected. (Lets be honest the standard bar was set very high for this song)

Ignite is okayish, gods and starwalking is bad as a world song (It's probably better as a regional song, not a world song.). Superpower is shit (same reason as gods and starwalking). There's no hype compared to rise and legend never die, or ticking away and die for you.

Champs vibe idea comes from the idea that champs is a hype event with a song thats also supposed to get us hyped for the event thats going to take place, which stems from league's worlds songs doing this

I think the song is fine, but when I think back about champs 23, i literally remember being in awe with the opening ceremonies and grand finals with ticking away and being blown away and ready to watch that insane finals

This song doesn't set up the event as well, which is my gripe with it, and I can't see myself feeling the same as Ticking away/die for you (but obviously that didn't have a show due to covid)

Hype comes in many different forms this first thing you bring up is the opening ceremonies to grand finals which hasn't happened yet... This song more than sets up the event with what's being said and what in aims to make you feel their are parts of ticking away that do not inspire what you're describing at all lol. Its mainly to chorus that carries the overzealous nature to the song. There are also several league songs that are vastly different in their portrayal. Again this entire notion comes from a formula that Grabbitz set that isn't objective by any means.

The music video is good but the song to me doesn't represent champs, it doesn't have the prestige that champs should have, it feels like a song you would release for a masters. Champs to me should feel like worlds, that's why i like that worlds releases a song for worlds plus an orchestral anthem.
