FYI: i can't work at mcdonalds or something, minors dont work at where i live, at least. (idk abt the entirety of indonesia but i live in a decently small town)
i barely get an allowance (about Rp15000 per day but thats if i choose to save it cz public transport costs to go to school take like 1/3rd of it)
my dreams (or at least what i wanna be in the near future) is to be a valorant pro, and my wifi hasnt been paid due to financial issues (which is why i made this thread)
im planning to literally just find a way to save all 15000 per day, then use it to literally binge internet cafes (i think 5000 per hour, 3 hours of valorant per day should be enough if i adapt and actually dedicate myself)
then go on to make money as a pro but I KNOW ITS GONNA BE HARD ASF BUT THATS LIKE ONE OF THE LITTLE CHOICES I HAVE

thoughts?
if yall have any harsh comments or reality checks, just send them.
i really need them for my future and to improve as a person fr.

Maybe tutoring students for money, assuming you are academically strong

yes!! im incredibly strong in math, science and english (a lot of my classmates struggle) but they dont care since they have chatgpt and i think tutoring is only effective in uni, which is in 3 years for me.

There's still a market for in-person tutors, especially since a lot of people recognize that overuse of AI tools can hurt learning. It's easier to land tutoring jobs for kids that are younger than you are (you say you're 16 -- you'd be looking at tutoring 10-13 year olds most likely).

I'd still suggest you look and see if someone wants a tutor, they usually pay quite well (at least, in my experience). If available, petsitting or babysitting can also land you some easy money, but it's usually much less than tutoring.

You can do assignments and stuff of other students if you are bright. even if you are not AI can help you alot

So they allow any kind of officeboys or something? Maybe that, if u have an alternative to go to school transport which won't cost u money then do that and save all for cafes as u said. If not but the school is close enough u walk there

if u have hobby in art or programming, it's so easy to earn money online by pandering to western countries.
BUT, these also have gated community and the starting point is quite pricey.
i'm an indo too, i do art since i was in college until now.
or you know, just be a private tutor.

I think your best bet would be to make money online. Unfortunately I don't have such experience so I wouldn't know, but I would do something slightly immoral like IRL trade in video games or find something fully digital to buy and resell that requires sniping

Cutting grass? Washing windows? Walking someone’s dog? I’ve seen people make money off of little things that not a big enough deal to pay a professional for. Idk what your life is like but it does seem like your options are a bit limited since you can’t work
