i am being objective and harsh, as people should be in discourse like this when it comes to a person's future prospects. you people want to cradle average tier 2 players and tell them to keep working away at something they will realistically never achieve, which is more detrimental advice than it is realistic and helpful

i mean it's a good parallel but as a competitor, there's no way you're comfortable just being so mediocre day in day out and demonstrating 0 improvement over 5 years. there doesn't seem to be any hunger to win, guy is just happy to get paid

i don't look at individual maps in someone's 5 year long career. i look at their performance and impact over time. he has done nothing even remotely impressive with his facilities at TSM

"everyone in tier 2" has had significantly less time than him, are younger than him, and either actually show potential to be a tier 1 player or are bad players overall. never once have i watched gmd and thought he deserved a tier 1 spot, which is the entire goal for tier 2 players

you could quite literally put any reasonable controller player in TSM's slot and they would either remain at the same skill level or actually improve given how often he crypto throws. attributing his team's success to him being a good enough player to reasonably reach t1 demonstrates a lack of literacy skill

considering he’s been a part of the majority of rosters tsm has put out they have found success, i can in fact say he is part of the reason his teams find success

and would you look at that! he has the chance to ascend again! so how is he wasting a slot if he has a better chance than anyone else at ascending?

But to make it short, why he should stop? he just grinds valorant, streams, plays on a big org, basically rn that's his job and that's the only answer.
