The second week of VCT Americas Stage 2 has concluded, with the gap widening between each group's leaders and their remaining winless teams after every match finished 2-0.

Week 2 ended with the following results:

The first day pit the region's two Ascension teams against each other, as 2Game Esports 2Game Esports Brazil Rank #3 Brinks João Victor gobera Vitor Gobo qck Gabriel Lima xenom Eduardo Soeiro frz Leandro Gomes took on G2 Esports G2 Esports North America Rank #1 jawgemo Alexander Mor BABYBAY Andrej Francisty trent Trent Cairns valyn Jacob Batio leaf Nathan Orf , still playing with substitute BABYBAY . The North American team took the win in just under 40 rounds overall, with JonahP stepping up to top the scoreboard with a 1.44 rating and 38 eliminations total.

This regular season match was quietly important for both teams, as 2G needs all the help they can get to qualify to playoffs, and Champions, with hopes of retaining their VCT slot. Should 2Game accomplish the feat and join G2 in Paris, whichever team out of the two Ascension Americas rosters places highest at the marquee event will retain their spot in VCT, while the other descends to Ascension. Otherwise, G2 guarantees a return to VCT 2026, while 2G still needs to finish in the top eight of either Stage 2 or the Championship points table in order to make Ascension and potentially return to VCT next year.

Unfortunately for FURIA, the team was missing head coach shaW and initiator player basic, and will look to the new acquisitions' arrivals to turn their luck around and end the year with more favorable results.

In terms of statistics, LEVIATÁN's in-game leader, kiNgg , finished at the top of the week's leaderboard, with a 1.83 rating and 2.75 KDR placing him just over Sentinels' N4RRATE . With the hurdle against former teammate aspas cleared, LEVIATÁN will look for similar heroics in the future in order to qualify to Champions: Paris.

The loss means MIBR is currently winless, a dark cloud hanging over the team since Masters: Toronto. They can still qualify to Champions, but the team faces a narrowing margin of error as four different teams are within a couple of points of the Stage 1 bronze medalists.
