You telling me Meiy with 500 FUCKING ACS got less rating than jinboong did in map 1
Is it the deaths or what

Values deaths wayyyyy too much, does rating account for traded deaths?
Tbf Jinboong did have a 10kd but meiy literally averaged 2 kills a round

It is included in the kast stat which I think has a tonne of weight in the rating

I think they do need to reduce how much deaths matter still, it’s basically a kd stat at this point
Meiy got 302 adr that shit is incredible

You cannot get basically 2 kills per round while sitting like a duck of course you're gonna die
This to me is like a 3.0 rating kinda performance (idk if that has happened in franchising tho)

Like 300 adr and 500 acs and 50% hs on 39 kills is crazy

Jinboong was 20/2 and 100% KAST ofc he is getting a better rating

like think about it, if that map kept going, he would be on track to be like 40/4 with 100% impact, But it ended 13-1.

That is very hypothetical though we can't be sure if he would keep it up if they lost some rounds
I guess you're still somewhat right though

yeah it's hypothetical, and like you said you can't be sure he would keep it up if it kept going. But it puts into perspective how insane his stats actually were in that brief game.

Meiy had twice the kills in just 6 more rounds and 302 adr. Far more of a hard carry and impressive performance than jinboong, deaths shouldn’t matter that much

Twice the kills but 5.5 times the deaths. Only 85% Kast

I just feel like impact wise it was more of an impressive performance/hard carry. It was a closer map as well, if zeta won 7 rounds map 1, jinboong wouldn’t have 2 deaths, but he wouldn’t have 40 kills either (lower adr)

Speculative. Staying alive preserves your capacity to impact the round. Dying is like spending a resource. Meyi traded his life to get some extra kills. Now he cant impact the rest of the round anymore.

Viewing deaths as a variable of a cost-benefit equation increases your winrate as a team and player. It is only right to highlight that in the rating.

Your focus is already expressed by the ACS stat. Devalueing deaths would make the rating redundant.

rating isn't about how hard you carried, it's about how well you played. Having a better KD, FD and KAST means you played better (stats wise) which is why his rating stat is higher.

I get that, but deaths are valued too much, especially for duelists
Also, did Jinboong really play better? He had lower adr/acs, and while he only had 2 deaths dfm only lost 1 rounds (vs 7 on icebox), so ofc he won’t have many deaths

dying makes you lose rounds, not the other way around. Him having fewer deaths is a direct reason as to why they lost fewer rounds. If Meiy had 2 deaths, they wouldn't have lost 7 rounds. He would probably have less kills and ACS, but DFM would win more. See what i'm getting at here?
