The Astra's ended up top fragging, but in terms of gameplay it was actually trolling to pick astra over brim

I mean the reason Brimstone is better though is because he has 3 smokes which is very important especially on site execs or retakes, his ult is better specifically on fracture because you can basically an entire plant site, and his smokes don't require anything to be placed before, its just point and click on a tablet.
But point and click smokes don’t really matter bc if it did, brim wouldn’t have a 0% pick rate across all other maps. 3 smokes is really the only thing selling brim, but honestly I think 2 smokes isnt bad, especially considering astra has recalls those 2 smokes wont be as restricting as like an omen. I also don’t think ults don’t really matter that much on agents other than phoenix, bc you’re only getting like 2-3 ults a map and you’d much rather have an agent with a good ult but mid util than mid util and a great ult
Well the reason why the point and click smokes are important is because of how much faster the pace on Fracture is. Also the big thing about three smokes is that Brim can shut down all the important chokes when executing on one of the sites unlike the other controllers. There is a reason why Astra isn't used by any team on Fracture and why BBL eventually went back to using Brimstone after having a terrible record while playing Astra.
Astra is just harder to play on fracture, but I do think she still is better. Both sites only have 2 chokes, and while triple smoking is effective, 2 smokes + recalls doesn’t leave you without smokes. Also fracture is fast paced, but so are sunset and split, two maps where omen (the slowest smoker) dominates the most on
double scan is never guaranteed to be meta cause you need stuff to suppliment a scan, could see it working on corrode or ascent though maybe and kc did some double scan on bind and lotus
also just cause its ahead of the meta doesnt make it necessarily good. nowadays most meta shifts are from the game devs changing things, with the only major change not entirely caused by that being yoru double duel meta i guess
nobody actually believes its an accident, just see the comps they were running in pacific games, 5 smokes, 4 duelist + smokes, 4 senti + smokes, 4 init + smokes, they knew they were smurfing
