Asia Timezone = high viewers
America Timezone = low viewers
Warlordwibz [#3]
- Seoul Champs 24 (9.1 millions) | 80% of viewers from china (7.28 million)
- Masters Bangkok 25 (4.3 millions).
- Champs LA 23 (1.8 millions).

China loves their video games man
swerdog [#5]
- not val's biggest event, but it is CS's
- the peak was only people hatewatching to see nik0 and m0nesy crash out
- the average viewers are almost equal
- CS numbers are inflated from it automatically showing whenever people are in lobby
nice try, 0/8
The biggest factor is that we don't see chinese viewership which is 10 times bigger in valo than in cs

in finals and semi - final there will be more viewer cause no one want to ruin their sleep for group stage
vexdia [#9]need asian viewers they shouldnt host tournaments in na anymore
then NA people also have same problem if they want to get good viership they should host in EMEA but leo said valorant want to do this so all region fan base get to see live tournament also
fr0ster0p [#11]then NA people also have same problem if they want to get good viership they should host in EMEA but leo said valorant want to do this so all region fan base get to see live tournament also
The Asia-Pacific region accounts for over 57% of global esports viewers.
China and the Philippines contribute 40% of the total esports fanbase.

but If playoffs time started even further late than group stage more people will be sleeping the event.

Seoul champs had so many chinese viewers because of EDG's run
Bangkok and LA are basically 2 years apart and the addition of china happened after LA so idk what to tell you lmao
The amount of people who are just blindly agreeing with you is crazy thought this was common knowledge
MrBlooBloom [#6]The biggest factor is that we don't see chinese viewership which is 10 times bigger in valo than in cs
Yeah Asia has adopted Val than the ignorance valve has given to Asia with Mongolz the only good Asian cs team left
Warlordwibz [#13]but If playoffs time started even further late than group stage more people will be sleeping the event.
but important game like start of playoffs and final and semi final are in weekends so you will get viewer ship
people defending valorant's viewership numbers should know one thing.

this is to illustrate the latest international event in Americas timezone to the most recent Champs/Masters event. Toronto final will be the most up to date, but its the LA-Bangkok is best comparison data. we can pull for Americas/Asia timezone event. For Masters > Champs is crazy tho.
Shooterrr [#17]people defending valorant's viewership numbers should know one thing.
- In Valorant (RIOT) streaming events are free , anyone can do it (tarik, tenz etc or you in u home)
In CS(VALVE), you need to pay to streaming the events, and the CS majors you must pay XX.XXX as minimum. For example, tarik need to pay to do a watchparty. Is like TV rights in Sports events. So is more easy for Valorant get high numbers in events with random influencers/streamers.
- Chinese viewers in Counter-Strike are very high too, but the numbers never count in data streams websites.
bro called riot bad for not charging streamers TV rights to stream. Thats just nuts, how can you criticise a genuinely great marketing strategy?

So the first year of franchising compared against the third year? seriously funny how you think this is a good comparison lmao. Also not mentioning Tokyo either? lmao this shit just the most biased thing ever.

CN and JP are those big boosts in viewership
sawrice [#20]bro called riot bad for not charging streamers TV rights to stream. Thats just nuts, how can you criticise a genuinely great marketing strategy?
Im not criticizing it. I'm just saying that they are two different strategies
Yep let's compare a game that has existed for over 20 years with one that has for 5 years now :)
FallnAngelTTV [#24]Yep let's compare a game that has existed for over 20 years with one that has for 5 years now :)
lets not forget, that valorant has changed more in 5 years, than Cs did in decades

If u wanna compare the Latest Americas timezone event vs Latest Asia timezone event, LA champs and Bangkok is the best comparison. I'm bringing Champs Seoul data to bring out the biggest sheer amount of jump asia timezone data. Americas have champs numbers, so it would be unfair to just put masters Bangkok numbers for Asia timezone.
Americas only ever had 2 event, Lockin Brazil and Champs LA, and both were around the time VCT CN haven't been established therefore the data could not be pull.
Best up to date data will be the bangkok numbers vs Toronto numbers. So just wait, chill.
Then compare 2024 Seoul champs data vs 2026 CN Champs vs 2027 Americas Champs numbers.

i said 🤫
KuschlKing [#25]lets not forget, that valorant has changed more in 5 years, than Cs did in decades
LoL meta changes constantly and they get more viewers each year
Less than 1/5th the lifespan, look at where CS was at 5 years after release.
Threads like these are so funny because it just shows how twt pages like Jake are easy to manipulate the crowd with just poor information. Valorant and League both have crazy viewership that comes from china but the sites that are used to track viewerships cannot display those numbers. If you were to actually add those numbers from CN views it would be a very close comparison even with CS2's CN views
Why do u even care? If u don't like val go touch some grass.
I'm Reading threads like this since 2022 and val is still here.
MrBlooBloom [#6]The biggest factor is that we don't see chinese viewership which is 10 times bigger in valo than in cs
Yeah thats definitely true, I just don't like bringing it up in these discussions because of the lack of transparency we have. Like how much do they watch Chinese teams that aren't EDG and how much for games without any Chinese teams? My guess is not nearly as much, and hardly at all, but we just don't really know
