EWC is objectively S tier

regardless of how bad the qualifiers for the 3rd and 4th teams are, it has the top 2 teams of the split qualify which is the same as kickoff. unless the format of the actual tournament is HORRENDOUS, then this is at least as valuable as kickoff.

it's also pretty clear all teams that qualified will be giving it their all if only for the prize money

Yeah but there is no prestige in winning it. If you want to win EWC it's because of money and for not love of the game. Funhavers and Knights monthly > EWC in terms of prestige. Therefore it's mickey mouse.

what does love of the game have to do with "prestige"? imo prestige is just how much you proved you're the best itw. champs is a bit more prestigious than masters because there's more teams so the winner directly proves themselves against more teams.

I watch tournaments to see the best team win not who loves the game the most 😭

That’s what sucks is whoever wins will definitely deserve it and it will be a harder tournament than most masters events. But people will downplay it all because of the circumstances. I get it but kinda sucks for the players because they have no choice but to do their best. And even if they’re proud and worked as hard as they would for a masters everyone is gonna downplay it due to the people organizing the EWC.
