Last year, when the goings were rough for T1 in Pacific Stage 1, the org promoted him to be its primary Controller, benching Sylvan just months after a trophy-lifting Masters Bangkok. DH hit the ground running for T1, helping the team finish out its regional calendar strongly with a fourth-place finish in Stage 2 before reaching Champions Paris. DH was sent back to T1A in the offseason to make way for Munchkin .

DH's 2026 season has been a whirlwind of sorts. While competing in Challengers Korea: Stage 1, he sustained injuries in a car accident, leading to him taking some time away from the game. While he was initially ruled out for the rest of the season, he returned in time for Stage 2, playing the Duelist role for T1A, but has been out of action since the team's second match of the group stage.
By promoting DH, T1 may rely on the flexibility of iZu to make roles work. While it is not currently known who may be benched in DH's place, iZu's ability to play all four agent roles to a high level may make him hard to drop. Should Munchkin continue as the team's Controller IGL, Meteor remain as the Sentinel, and BuZz as the primary Duelist, veteran stax 's narrower agent pool may result in him being benched, with iZu or Munchkin picking up the Initiator role as needed.
DH's promotion could see T1 adopt a level of flexibility rarely seen in VCT. The starting five would have four players who could play the Duelist role in some capacity, as well as three players who have played Omen at the VCT level. With military service also an issue needing to be addressed by all Korean pros between the ages of 18 and 28, the 20-year-old DH could allow for seamless transitions while players enlist.
