but imo they only qualled cause of their honeymoon period in c1 and because of that they had a mmuch easier bracket and on top of that TL choked against navi which if they had won against would have put them against g2 and imo would have qualled instead of g2

I always think the same thing too, but that really is liquids fault for throwing map picks and agents against Navi.

There's really no point in "what if" at this point though. TL lost, G2 made it. I like G2 too so hopefully they''ll make a good performance.

liquid lost 13-5 and 13-5 against giants in a more important match at that time(qualification for emea playoffs)

That's true, but kryptix is like the least influential player on the team. And as far as I see, scream and jampii potential should be more than that so maybe if changing the weakest link of the team can change that, why not?

The 2 biggest issues imo are, that they have no good sova player and no good jett player + they dont really have the entry star players. Scream is a bad entry and jamppi isnt that cracked on entry either. There best entry is their skye player.
Overall everyone seems to be able to play a decent amount of agents but noone is excellent on the top 3 agents besides soulcas skye + they lack some roles. For example noone played skye ln bind while soulcas was on raze.
But they have a lot of time to practice now without having to worry about anything really. They can fix the fundamental mistakes and work on their roles. They dont have to half ass somethin because they now have 1.5 months without any games

Well, for starters, G2 had a 3 round lead on their 3rd map, Bind (12-9), and then lost 5 straight rounds to lose the match. In comparison, TL's 3rd map Icebox had Liquid losing 5-11, which is when their comeback started and the team managed to get up 12-11 and force overtime. You may think is the same situation, but in G2's case, they lost their chance to close out the match while leading, while TL managed to force overtime after a 7-round comeback. Then, after TL found themselves losing again, they forced a 3rd overtime, while G2 didn't win a single round after being up 12-9 and lost in the 1st overtime, losing 5 straight rounds when it mattered most. So when you ask how is the way they lost different, is different in the way that TL managed to force 2 overtimes with some key clutches (GMB forced 1) and had more chances to get the W than G2 did (2 times at match point vs 1 time).
But again, no point in "what if"s. G2 qualified, Liquid didnt so that pretty much answers the original question. And I like G2 too so this is just me over-analyzing things, not dissing or anything.
