2023 Valorant was so much better than this year, teams were more likable and better storylines tbh

yeah but not all good teams from 2023 are still the teams we see in the limelight
I see. Although this year we have some good rosters too, mainly Sen, Geng, 100T... we see resurgence of players/teams considered washed amd doing well/winning tourneys, teams like FNC and PRX who kept the same roster couldn't perform well in international playoffs, so pretty good storyline. Only fuckup is completely changing the formats for the tourneys.
I agree, prime Optic, prime Loud, fnatic vs M3C in EMEA, DRX got third at champs, and PRX and FPX went crazy at Copenhagen. Plus we had open quals still, which gave us upstarts like TGRD. Felt like such a good year.
Reykjavik 2022 was mid/shit. The only thing that saved this tournament was the ZETA run, but the rest was pretty boring other than PRX vs G2 ig.
Copenhagen had so many upsets and insane clutches/moments (best masters ever still)
Champs 2022 had pretty good groups, first Chinese matches internationally, FPX vs XSET turret bug in playoffs, 6 NA vs EU matches
2022 was very good, but Reykjavik let it down.
2022 >= 2021 >>>>>>>>>>>>> 2023 >= 2024
Berlin 2021 (2nd best masters) and Reykjavik 2021 (3rd best masters) were goated events full of NA vs EU matches. There was so much hype in every game:
Some super notable things in the 2 masters:
Champs 2021 also has the best groups out of all champs events:
Champs 2021 prob has the worst playoffs from all 3 of the champions, but still some amazing games:
now, you've made me like 2021 even more:
2021 > 2022 > 2023
so sad for u that u missed out on 2021 KEKW
"asian team finally making playoffs"
bro VS made playoffs at berlin wtf are u on
Champs 2021 sucked except for Kru's run imo
I loved gmb nats in Berlin, and Yay + Envy upsetting sentinels.
Still, I think Reykjavik 2021 was a good tournament. You had the crazy comeback on fracture with Optic vs TGRD, Loud looking scary on international after going undefeated in Brazil, Zeta pulling the craziest turnaround of ANY team at a masters so far, and the beginning of the El Classico rivalry. The only thing missing was FPX bc of the stupid visa issues.
Champs 2021 had so many NA vs EU games, ENVY upset by X10, GMB 5-12 comeback on Vikings, Vivo Keyd JhoW cypher cam exploit leading to the ACEND vs VIVO KEYD game being replayed, FNATIC vs C9, FNATIC vs VISION STRIKERS (DRX) were also bangers
Champs 2021 groups >>
also in Reykjavik 2022, FNC was missing (since they had 2 subs)
what?
optic win was huge and hype and was the start of the loud vs optic rivarly. Also optic had many good games such as revenge on xerixa and comeback against the guard, and losing to loud upper finals and beating them in the gf
Prx showed themselves as a top team and destroyed both g2 and tgrd putting eyes on them for the first time and introducing W key gaming
Zeta had a mircale run which everyone loved.
The only thing that was lacking was emea teams which is why YOU dont like it. Otherwise super great.
bro... last year it was just FNC win FNC win FNC win... at least there is variety now
well yeah but it was valorants first dynasty with was cool in its own way
yeah but watching fnc clap everyone at tokyo without trying was pretty boring
oh I didn't know, in that case yeah 2023 is probably better but I do think this year's champs has the potential to be really entertaining
FPX will definitely show the world why Riot made China their own region
LIfe dropping 72 against DRX
BerLIN dropping 53 against SEN
you heard it here first, bookmark this thread if u want to be a part of history
nah geng are great, last year prx just jerked off and did nothing against eg
2024 is a blessing for apac region
