Using the methods from this post, I determined an approximate playerbase for each region based on ranked players:

According to Valking.gg the breakdown for Radiant/Immortal players is: Eu: 16171; NA: 9745; BR: 3633; LATAM: 2347; Korea: 1474; Asia(not including korea): 9678

Using ranked distribution from July which lists 0.6% of the player base as Radiant/Immortal* we get approximate #s:

EU: 2.695 Million Players
NA: 1.624 Million Players
BR: 605 Thousand Players
LATAM: 391 Thousand Players
Korea: 246 Thousand Players
Asia: 1.613 Million Players

*This changes regularly but comparisons of playerbase between region should be good just not the exact #s

part of Asia cause of the database I used. But still, Asia is bigger than NA which is crazy imo

Not crazy at all. Small countries in Asia have 200M population while USA has 350M and Canada is just too small too count.

You also got China and India. Not sure if you counted China in Asia though.

I guess I',m used to a CS / other esport point of view where the regions are usually EU, NA, LATAM(including BR), and then Asia in order of playerbase/popularity.
It is cool to see Valorant doing so well in Asia(especially when it isn't actually out in China). I think it can be a truly global esport more than any before it.

Yeah literally 1/10th of EU and still some tier 1 players+teams. From what I've heard the low playerbase is cause of vanguard's issues w/ PC bangs

Yes, I know that it at least includes TR+CIS+EU but might also be MENA and maybe the rest of Africa as well

It does, there are quite a few cis players on the leaderboard which is surprising since nobody plays val here.
