Last year there were some discussions about it and one could've argued for many players to be the goat right? Derke, Chronicle, Aspas, Mako, nAts, Yay, less etc.

But I really feel like rn the only possible answer is one. And it's not even close. What do you guys think?

Chronicle if you count goat as performance consistency, flexibility and trophies
Forsaken is similar to chronicle but just without the trophies to

Aspas or Yay if it is stats along with high placements

nAts, demon1 or tenz if you consider all time peaks in 1-2 tournaments

But tbh give it 2-3 more years atleast to call someone the greatest

i mean aspas has been consistent since his debut in 2022 til now, he "only" won 1 champs but hes been top2-3 in many events now. Its not like faker and s1mple instantly won every event they participated in

its a 5 man trophy dude. Aspass isnt winning trophy with LEV lol. Ik forsaken sucked at finals, but he hardly plays duelists anymore so asking for 40 kills is insane.

Forsaken for a lot of time (wrongly IMO but still was) wasn't even considered the best player in his team. And you come out here comparing prx to lev. Absolutely nonsensical

Throughout some parts of 22 and 23 I saw jinggg being hyped up more than forsaken and even if it wasn't like that, it was very close between the 2.

And even so, it wouldn't change anything about what I said, you can't compare prx to lev in no way at all.

TenZ as well ppl thought he wasn't good just because he played in a bad team, only in 2023 he individually underperformed but he had lots of personal issues

I don't understand why this thing gets brought up so many times. Even if the game does not have much history that does not mean that you can't designate who the best player until now has been.

Even in actual sports the goat refers obviously to the past. You can't control the future man. Goats change all the time and that's how it's supposed to be.

that's not the point. To call someone THE GOAT, that person has to be comfortably ahead of any other competition, there's no player like that in valorant. Everything is up for contention still.
