why do pros do this?
Why can't you say it before game? Fnatic last week did the same saying all the team were sick, yay in kickoff did it with his eye problem.
Like just say it before game, cause after losing it just looks like crying, and many wouldn't believe it.

it would be weird to prefire the excuses no?
like what you're going in expecting to lose?

I'm not defending him or anything, but if you watched some Indonesian 10 mans stack last night, he said that his hands were feeling numb when he played 10-mans pro

its kinda hard to do in pacific bc 2 games a week but there's enough time in between games in other regions for teams to do it when there isn't a match in the next 2 or previous 2 days

Prefire excuse?
Just you or the team announce that you're suffering from an injury, like sport teams does?
They announce it and say we'll see how the player recover and if he will play next game or not, that's not excuse it's just normal procedure

I like xccurate and I'm not saying he's lying, and he missed some shots he usually wouldn't, but there are better ways to announce an injury

Yay had problem with eye due to poor lighting conditions in the venue. Do you expect him to predict it?

Yea man i like xccurate but he should have not post that. People will view it negatively. There's no benefit of posting that. Like fnatic got the hate after their manager said the players were sick after the TH match.

Tenz didn’t do this when he had his injury with his finger and had covid in the game against lev 2023 . He sent a picture of his hand before the match and was wearing a mask so we could tell he was sick . And the hate he got on that match was really bad. But then again it’s cus he is popular so who knows?

No one was expecting T1 to lose. They could have easily said that before the match and it wouldn't be considered an excuse.

But now, it is one.

Well, what he did was better, but the ideal is the team announcing it the moment your player is injured or sick. Like the exact day even if he's gonna recover before the next game, that's what professional sports teams do, they announce the player is sick and will see how he recovers.

Either say it before or not anything at all. What FNC manager did was not cool either

Nobody would think he’s giving an excuse against DFM

im just saying it would be weird if the team announces something like that beforehand because that would be implying they expect to lose

Idk why some of you JP fans are so angsty over him announcing an injury, its not like his injury downplays DFM's win in any way. He could very well just be giving an explanation for his poor performance during that match. It's not like he said DFM was trash or that T1 would have won if he wasn't injured. It seems like the very fans of DFM themselves are assuming that DFM's win was a fluke just based on his statement alone.

To add on to the hypocrisy, it appears that there wasn't as much fuss when ZETA previously said their performance was poor during the match after they lost, why isn't that an excuse as well? As much as I respect the JP fanbase and DFM's (particularly Meiy)'s win, this just shows the ugly side of fans as well

Reason he tweeted it, because in post match press conference, someone asked whether he would need surgery or some time off the team and whether a substitute was necessary. He said it’s not heavily serious.
