Honestly if y'alls take is that EMEA is weak and not that there's more than a single good team I don't even know what to say. (Did you even watch the games?)

Yes FNC and NAVI didn't play to their best but that doesn't mean KC or TH are shit? Or that SEN/LOUD/NRG would roll them. They have legit strats, great protocols and firepower. I think Madrid will be more competitive than people think.

TH and KC are not proven internationally.

Neither was EG last year and they finished top 2 in Tokyo and won champs.

It's better to look at the level of gameplay than some abstract concept of being "proven on the big stage" or whatever.

I'm not saying they will necessarily perform, but these "NA is winning Madrid" posts are exaggerating the disparity imo.

EG was unproven, but nobody was seriously hyping up EG like EMEA did to FNC and NAVI, even after Champs results.

Basically, rating performance internationally by saying "they beat NAVI" means nothing right now.

Don't get it wrong, I am hyped for these new teams. Just keeping it real for the guys doing tricks on boaster's dick

For sure, I'm just saying Madrid will be more competitive than people think, in my opinion.

yea like have these guys had their brains neutralized or something? EG was shit on for even making Tokyo, and then when they made grand finals people STILL said they hadn't proven themselves because they lost to fantic. Why are they trying to make this narrative that EG always had support, people shat on them from the start.

You’re right we shouldn’t take them lightly… they have n4rrate who is from NA so we gotta be careful

Americans interpret any result within EMEA as EMEA being shit, it's nothing new. If FNC had won, the reactions would be the same.

i think you are misinterpreting it. kc and th are great, but fartnatic and dogvi suck ass.

I wouldn't say they suck ass, but they certainly didn't play to their possible cieling.

NAVI trolling as usual, some of their decisions were very questionable and overall strategy was mid.

FNATIC just seemed like the same as last year, same strats. KC could call around that and knew exactly what FNC's gameplan was, coupled with superior firepower (FNATIC not being to their level and KC just hitting amazing shots).

I mean personally I'm excited to see an EMEA team that ISNT TL, NAVI, or FNC at an international, FUT was exciting to see when they made it last year. Will they do well? who knows cus they're unproven internationally. But so is the likes of GenG from APAC. Should be an interesting masters.

I totally agree, imagine if we got an upset for Americas as well maybe SEN going instead of NRG... that would be a crazy first event.

The FNC match to me shows that you can't just rely on being a core with solid players, you have to adapt to new metas and antistrat your opponents. How is it that KC had a better read than FNC even though they've only shown 2 maps vs KCorp's 15+? Crazy to me. Super excited to see variety of playstyle and underdogs making runs this year.
