I know riot is trying to help china to get more opportunities to promote but 4 is just too much for a new( kinda weak honestly) region . Look at EMEA where fps esport game is so strong (cs2) , i think they deserves 6 slots and china is 2 or 5 slots for americas and emea, 2 for china is enough imo

Glad we are not determining a region slot by trophies then. So how do we actually determine it? China second seed destroyed Americas second seed and their first seed only lost to the eventually grand finalist. And China haven't even had their own league by that point.
Its not like Zeta, TL or Kru were that much more competitive than FPX before they even have their own league
EMea had 2/5 teams going out of the group stage last champion, China had 2/3. Out of the 5 other EMEA team which of then are a "good" team that deserves to be in Champions? KC? KOI?
There's a reason why all the LCQ team, even the fabled Navi failed to make it through groups. And its because even now there's a parity among the Top teams of the region. Even before the Chinese league is a thing.

Other region doesn't get much competitive because they don't have place to learn big competitive.

sure that riot is doing good with making the balance between regions and valve not really care about asia in CS. But you have to agree with me that watching a cs tournament is much better experience and more competitive .After all, china is still a country, vct champion is an international tour that for players from around the world compete, not the “VCT china champion”.
if cs tried to include other regions and develope cs in pacific/china i promise you CS Majors would easily break twitch and streaming records to the point where no one can compete vs them lol while still maintaining the competetiveness because pacific teams might be considered "dark horse teams" and we'll see some upsets that'll break the internet

if you favor a region over the others by giving them more slots, you kill the chance for the region with less slots to compete in a more competitive environment
China may not be the best in the whole of Valorant but you'd be surprised how quickly they will catch up and maybe even dominate in a few years from now
In order for a esports to thrive it needs audience, and to get audience you need equal representation from each region. Like i am from asia and the only team i watch from emea is fnatic, i don't watch any other emea team. It does not matter how strong the competition is if no one watches. Why would riot put millions of dollars in valorant esports if no one watches it. China has a massive viewer base, so they, just like other regions deserve equal spot.
Most simple answer: Tencent and theres really not much excuse you could counter with when tackled Mainland conglomerates

The other way is everyone also gets 4 for fairness (say, if China never has its own league and bundled into APAC, you have option of either kill SEA just like Valve did with 2016-2017 CS or have China stuck in CrossFire that is a game from 15+ years ago (no, CS is not the majority in China) forever
The long term is that I believe China would be a scary region for the other version of VALORANT that currently is in testing, and its not the one with controller
but as for the current term is simply: Tencent, China as a whole & its Marketing/Business approach

As you said, for cs2 Major, how many slots will every region get base on how many team from this region qualify for playoffs. Similarly, in last Championship there are 2 team from China (EDG,BLG) qualify for playoffs as same as other regions, so why do you think China don't deserve 4 slots as other regions do?
