Gambit's a scrimbux team. They dominates in scrims and so every hypes them up. But scrims aint matches.
Gambit's biggest advantage imo is native lang teamcomms, and that's something none of the Eu teams had in their favour yet they lost to all of them. Team Finest is a solid Tier 2 Eu team... and same thing happened. They're quite below

Maybe it's just Russian fans being Russian fans and overrating them but so far it looks like a farmer league to me. We'll see
Probably a tactical move by Gambit to play4fun and appear as a scrimbux team, but then actually get serious for EMEA games
gambit has always done poorly in these t2 tourneys... its cuz they run completely different comps.. i mean look at there CIS matches and look at the comps then look at the comps they running here. even before their run in challenger playoffs they lost to honk once in a t2 tourney

gambit will show that they are still one of the best if not the best in EMEA, before the CIS playoffs to qualify for EMEA they lost 2-0 to OBG did I think that OBG were better? no and gambit still didn't drop a map in the cis qualifier to qualify for EMEA, even thought Finest beat Gambit I still think gambit will be a top team in the EMEA playoffs and straighten out their mistakes that caused them to lose this match

it's just basically scrims for teams, hence why they can choose whether or not to broadcast their games lol
if you compare teams from different regions just by watching games you are bound to make mistakes

- If they don't care about money as some pointed out, they would simply not participate in the event
- If they participate because "they're just scrimming" they should try to step up because they perform poorly against Eu teams. What's that so different they're doing? People don't realize meta changes?
- If "they're just trolling", that doesn't really speak well about a competitive professional team. Same applies to every team that has dropped a map out there. They're Gambit. We're not talking about SEN, Acend and such.
- If they're so good some sweaty Russians make it out to be, they should've won a Tier 2 Eu team with ease even if "they're scrimming"
They don't realize they're disrespecting the team they support by saying such things lol. Imagine them giving 100% for a random user to come by and say "they're trolling"

maybe they abused the tournament for match fixing who knows. while the winner gets 5K or something they make huge money with bets against their own team. and no, they dont use their own paypal, bank accounts, name for placing bets. :)
