Give it a couple hours or even a day. You might've stubbed it without noticing or smth. If the pain persists for too long or if you really don't think it's right, perhaps you should visit a clinic or hospital and get advice from a professional. Hope your finger gets better soon!

Yeah that's possible but surely it would have bruised if I accidentally hit my finger? Not quite sure yet, the pain has been lingering for around a day, I think I will just wait it out.

Its your nail , its digging in your skin, same shit happened to me with my foot, istg hurt more than when i BROKE the actual nail itself
