How do you rate international LANs?

The general consensus seems to be that Champs > Masters. This seems to make sense at first glance since champs has more teams competing and a bigger price pool so winning champs would be more prestigious than winning Masters.

But in my opinion all international LANs are equal. The reason is cause champs is just filled with more mid-tier teams from LCQ and whatever so you usually see the same teams competing in playoffs in masters and champs, fluke runs aside.

Also I think its dumb to differentiate between international LANs since we only get three of them in a year.

What do you think?

I think all LANs are highly important.

But I do hold Champs at a higher value because it is the "main event". All the others LANs are kind of to build hype for the final LAN (Champs).

I do think Champs is more important than Masters

It also sounds to cooler to say "Im a champion winner" than a "masters winner"

+1 Champs is only overhyped because of its prestige. Slightly more competitive than masters because no team gets a groups bye at champs but overall the team that wins masters is in a MAXIMUM -5% skill than the winner of champs.

champs>masters>lockin
champs has more teams, viewers, and a bigger prize pool so teams would naturally focus more for champs
that’s what loud did for the past 2 years

you seriously think loud intentionally didn't do well in masters 2?

no. i should have specified that loud players themselves said that they were focusing more for champs than masters

Actually, they almost had the same journey as last year

2022:
-2nd in the first Internacional
-Regional winners (VCT brazil)
-0/2 defeats in masters
-champions winners

2023:
-2nd in the first internacional
-Regional winners (VCT americas)
-0/2 defeats in masters
-3rd Champions 🚫

I know but I think it's a coincidence rather than them not giving it their best

obviously, but it's really a strange coincidence

teams try their best in both masters and champions so if we're speaking in terms of how good the winning teams are then there's no difference, maybe champs is very slightly better since all teams have to go through groups but it's very uncommon for a team that would've been top 3 to get grouped so it doesn't really matter

bassicly the events where NA teams win are the real ones and if they dont its rigged and a fradulant event.
In order of least fraudulent to most fradulent
Champs 2023>Iceland 2021> Iceland 2022>Champs 2022>>Copenhagen 2022>>>>>>>Lock In 2023>Masters Berlin 2021>>>>>>Champs 2021

typical EMEA trying everything to justify that they havent made top 3 at a champs in 2 years lmao. champs is more important and more of an accomplishment than masters in every way, stop trying to move the goalpost and now say its the same as masters since EMEA recently can seem to only fluke out during champs

Champs is also at the end of the year, meaning that teams will have as much time as possible to adapt to the large meta-shifts we see in between seasons, which should in theory make it more competitive.
