Reita and Seoldam were staples in the Japanese Challengers scene in 2021, having played for ZETA DIVISION ZETA DIVISION Japan Rank #2 and NORTHEPTION NORTHEPTION Japan Rank #7 respectively. While ZETA made Masters: Berlin, NORTHEPTION came close to a Champions berth but ultimately fell short in the APAC Last Chance Qualifier to FULL SENSE FULL SENSE Asia-Pacific Rank #8 . Following the conclusion of Champions, Reita joined REJECT REJECT Japan Rank #19 for a one-year loan, while Seoldam took a step back to content creation for Crazy Raccoon Crazy Raccoon Japan Rank #4 . REJECT had an up-and-down season in 2022 but had a substantial top-six placement at the East Asia LCQ.
DetonatioN FocusMe, alias Detonation Gaming White, entered the scene in 2020 but took a hiatus in 2021. Despite returning in 2022, they failed to make an impact as they always fell short in Challengers open qualifiers. Following their acceptance into the inaugural Pacific Partnership league, DFM signed Seoldam and Reita as part of the organization's new and revamped roster.
