They are not in discussion for the best team for this year. No shot.

They choked a 11-3 lead to win Lock-in. HOW TF DO YOU CHOKE AN 11 - 3 LEAD.
Looked shakey and had close games through out their season and THEN had a shockingly SHITE showing at tokyo. Embarassing.

Than they magically looked good during playoffs of champs. They had a high ceiling but toooo inconsistent. You just don't know what version of Loud you see on the day.

First of all, I agree that they won't be the best looking team of this year if we're talking about peak performances for teams this year. HOWEVER, you can't say that LOUD can't be in consideration for THIS YEAR and then talk about LOCK//IN which was last year. It will either be fnatic or PRX

  1. "They choked a 11-3 lead to win Lock-in. HOW TF DO YOU CHOKE AN 11 - 3 LEAD."

It's important to remember the team was really new at the time, it was the first tournament Tuyz and Cauanzin played as LOUD players, both super young as well. And they still made it to the grand final in their first showing, not a small feat imo. They definitely didn't expect to go that far so soon with 2 new young players.

  1. "Looked shakey and had close games through out their season"

Looked shakey and still only NRG was able to beat them, so who cares? C9 looked strong af and didn't go to Masters or Champions, I bet they wish they looked as shakey as LOUD.

  1. "and THEN had a shockingly SHITE showing at tokyo. Embarassing."

Yeah, they perfomed badly at Tokyo. Tried new things and it didn't work out. But I think everyone can agree they came back 10x stronger after that for the most important tournament of the year so, again, who cares?

  1. "Than they magically looked good during playoffs of champs. They had a high ceiling but toooo inconsistent. You just don't know what version of Loud you see on the day."

It's not magic, it's work and commitment. They placed 2nd at Lock In, 1st at VCT and they're already top 3 at Champions. That's inconsistent? One bad tournament takes away all of that? I disagree.

I think they are absolutely in discussion for the best team this year, especially if they win Champs. I know that's a hard pill to swallow for you guys.

idk why this has to be explained, but winning one tournament doesn't make you the best team of the year. sure, it may be the most important and prestigious tournament of the year, but that doesn't take away from the fact that a different team had a dominant year and only fell short at one tournament. I don't even like Fnatic, but they are without a doubt the best team of 2023. Even if EG won this last tournament, they are still nowhere near as dominant as Fnatic was this year.

That makes no sense dude

Lets say for example DFM gets 26-0 in lock in and goes 0-9 in regional play that means no masters
and then qualifies through lcq and wins champions

Theyre definetely NOT the best team of the year

Champs means best team at the moment but not the whole year

Dude, Messi is going to win another Ballon d'Or just for winning the most important football championship of the year (WC), even though he didn't perform in the Champions League. While Haaland, who played unbelievably well in all possible tournaments, won't win, even though he won the Champions League and Premier League. That's how things work. You can win 10 low-stakes and low-importance championships and lose the most important one, and the year of the one who won the most important one will matter more...
