EMEA: WORST REGION (w/ facts)

EU is actually the worst region right now

Americas #1: two teams top 3, potential back to back world champ, a lot of potential for next year

SEA #2: PRX grand finals, DRX top 6 but clears all EMEA except FNC

China #3: new region, but two of three teams finish top 8 without international experience, smaller player base with bigger results

EMEA #4: FNC barely beat loud in brazil, fnc played about as well as optic at masters, fnc finish outside top 3 at champs, FUT had to beat two #3 seeds to get to playoffs, rest of emea would get stomped by most of Americas and doesn't seem to have any hope for next season outside FNC running it back

EU has the largest player base, yet the least talent

As a Europeenan, I feel ashamed... I think maybe EMEA needs to recruit some foreign talent, there's a lot of good players in NA looking for teams

They definitely should pickup some talent from NA VCL

Arguable some NA non-challengers players would be better than most of current EMEA. outside fnatic, it's a bunch of failures... M80 & The Guard > Liquid, Botvi

Liquid: shitcas shitppi botgar and fraud eMiL are dragging down players like sayf and nats
NaVi: ANGE1 and cNed somehow throwing the entire season for superstars like shao zyppan and suygetsu

EMEA just has a lot of bots in with the good players, its all the fault of the managers

NA players are expensive
Maybe recruit Pacific players, god knows they need the mechanical aim to help their parkinson FNS-like aim region

The funny thing is the americas, apac and china all have larger populations than all of continental europe

#8

Population has nothing to do with player population and org support/e sports infrastructure
Elsewise apac should be winning everything

EU doesn’t have the largest player base at all either, that’s NA which will be surpassed by china in a few years.

“Player base” not population. EMEA literally had 400k more players than NA + brazil.

We should try to get the recent numbers. I have posted this link here before, but tracker data is incomplete, and these numbers are from 2 years ago. This is the only recent one I could find: https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/comments/10k6w0b/ranked_population_by_region/

which gives:
Americas: 1600k + 127k + 125k (NA + BR + LATAM)
EMEA: 1700k
Pacific: 1600k + 270k (APAC + KR)

I still don't think tracker numbers are complete though.

The link I posted is from 7 months ago. The guy I was replying to posted from 2 years ago. Both are based on tracker data, and I already mentioned that it's incomplete.

You can get current data directly off Tracker, right?

1. PACIFIC: 4,052,477 - 38%
2. EU: 3,467,304 - 33%
3. AMERICAS: 3,129,297 - 29%

Oh, and a quick glimpse at the Champ's participants:

USA 24
South Korea 17
China 17
Turkey 9
Russia 9
Japan 8
Sweden 8
Brazil 6
UK 4
Canada 4
... <-- sorry, didn't get all of the participants' numbers but sure there are more from Americas.

The difference seems to be insignificant as Americas < EU < PACIFIC ---> the DIFFs are around 0 < +5% < +9%

Thanks, man. I just couldn't find the exact numbers.

Edit: I found them now, it wasn't showing up for me when I checked last month.

emea has more players than na + br combined... way more than sea (player base doesnt not mean population of a region)... way more than china (in its current state)

My guy you have no idea on playerbase numbers. APAC is 2.4 million, EMEA is 1.9 million, Americas is 1.7 million.

USA accounts for almost 900k of the Americas total alone. The largest playerbase in EMEA is Turkey followed by France. The English speaking contingent of the playerbase is probably only about 300k tops.

Game seems to be dropping off hard in Europe because around end of 2021/beginning of 2022 there were almost 3 million players in EMEA.

The only thing that doesn't make sense with this is the number of trophies

Nah it was a joke btw. NRG flair is similar to M3C and Nauru flag is similar to Aruba. I switch it up tho cuz prob many people don't know Naurus flag

I am an EU fanboy with some common sense. Right now we are the worst region, no doubt about that.
Overall in the entire Valorant career based on trophies, we are the best region.

Dude don't let it get to you. Half of VLR is fake flaggers doing the whole "trust me bro"

I'm convinced there can't be more than 50 unique users on this site at this point.
