leo faria support

I see support for leo faria bc he claims they are fixing t2 next year and he has been open to questions.

However, why couldn't they have just fixed it this year? Everyone knew what was happening since January. Most esport scenes only last a few years bc people switch to newer games. Using an entire year as a "trial run" is the biggest BS I've ever heard 😹😹😹

NA has had one real LAN and the game released 3+ years ago. predicting NA has under 5 total LANs for the entirety of valorant 😹

are you braindead? it's not that deep. all I am saying is everyone immediately knew the 2023 season was fcked when riot released details about it

bro said its not that deep and then goes on to vlr to write an essay

I won't stop saying this, but franchising is gonna single-handedly kill Valorant. I'm telling you, in just 4-5 years VCT is gonna become as dead as Overwatch League, with no tier 2 teams and barely any financial support.

2.25 mil prize pool for masters tokyo. rito games has also dealt with lol (ignoring the stuff in na). im pretty sure they understand the value of a t2 scene and would be willing to give more support to t2 scene

edit: punctuation

na as a whole is dead both in cs and lol. both one of the most successful esports scenes. your point?

#13

people lose interest in video games fast at least in NA. both scenes started there and died

playerbase was never as big as it is in EU or APAC in either of those games lol,

valorant is taking hold everywhere atm such a shit argument

just admit you have feelings because amateurs arent getting paid 6 figures and move on

holy braindead. very difficult to argue with vlr low iq

blud is supporting a 6 month off-season and half the orgs leaving the scene 😂

bro, the fucking head of esports doesnt support it lol,

if you didnt realize, even before franchising a lot of orgs were leaving and joining the scene on and off (you are an idiot)

the offseason is tough but who exactly is watching tier 2 anyways? theres no demographic, theres no demand, you complain but you think riot is the only entity to blame

Successful tier 2 scenes in Asia and EU have literally been forwarded by the government at times, there are internet cafes in japan/kr that their government funds and chinese billionaires invest millions into esports.

You can't seriously blame riot that theres no tier 2 infrastructure for gaming in NA thats not something they can do lol

bro, theres dead ass nothing wrong with t2 besides for the short season, they literally just need 4 splits and ascension and its fine GC is fine too despite all the coping

do you really think T2 gamers deserve to make as much as division 4 footballers in england? LMFAO gtfo man

they're gonna get paid like 40-50k on average and deal with it, you want big money and that's what you get when u reach the top

literally just a year round t2 is the only thing t2 needs

#21

hmm calling t2 amateurs 😂😂😂

ask the pro scene what they think of that? they reacted kindly to faria's tweet

#24

faria called it a guest slot. second of all by that logic how far should it extend down to? collegiate players? Premier players? RANKED PLAYERS?!!??! at that point everyone is a pro. everyone can be payed 6 figures

#36

guest slot is fine. amatuer is not

#40

so what do u want t2 players to be called? u want t1 players to be called super pros and t2 to be called pros?

#26

generally, pros are the ones getting paid, if you aren't on salary you are an amateur as is most the t2 players you are coping for, its the definition of an amateur

can u make an actual point? u have just been giving us nothing burgers, ppl like u is the reason why nothing productive can be achieved thru discussion everything has to be black and white. wtf man val havent completely figured out how to properly run its esports scene and have a 6 month off season, how do they think thats a good idea?!??! Rome wasn't built in a day lil bro.

#34

chill i get your points. you want t2 to die and t1 to die with it as valorant loses hype. we understand you want only 1-2 events a year and an off-season of 6 months. most disagree with you but it is your opinion :)

#39

who said i think how val running things is perfect? obviously the scene isnt perfect yet, no way its the first year its been franchised. u just want everything to be perfect and dont gotta worry bout anything. rome wasn't built in a day not even in a year

I disagree.
Franchising in valorant is hardly comparable to overwatch.

I do think the current t2 structure of Valorant hurts the scene a lot but right now it's salvageable.

#11

Frags

yeah. my main point is they need to get their stuff together. who knows how long valorant will last and considering a region like NA has had only one LAN since the game released & t2 currently doesn't exist rn shows they are heading in the wrong direction

#15

This "NA has only had 1 lan" is such a meaningless point to harp on about.

The majority of valorant's esports life has been affected by covid and war.
If riot had held an event in NA in 2021/22, there would have been a sizeable number of teams affected by visas.

Do you seriously think riot is choosing Reykjavik multiple times due to the Icelandic crowds?

#17

LANs don't have to be international 🤯

"covid and war" 2 dumbest excuses yet. there have been football games since 2020

#18

hey dumbass, football players have work permits when they sign, esports players need a new visa every new team they are on
also playing within the same country is a lot easier than flying in 50 people from different places

#22
brobeans

Frags

why would u not treat an esport pro the same as a football pro? both have the same requirements

#28
cboomer

Frags

this makes no sense lol, im just saying that you saying a global pandemic and a war which affected a lot of EU teams does very much affect visas/permits

Football clubs and esports organizations work differently because to compete in league play you simply need a work permit and players needed visas to the US to come and play here, a little more difficult

#27

Riot and the valorant orgs do not have the same privileges the likes of FIFA and UEFA has.
Valorant is not even comparable to football.

Riot has tried to host LAN events, check out the NA 2021 LCQ... look what happened.

why is vlr supporting half the orgs leaving and a 6 month off-season? the entire pro scene has despised it since beginning of this year but is vlr too low iq to understand??

no one is supporting shit, they've admitted their mistakes and they already promised to change stuff next year, and there's gonna be an announcement regarding tier 2 later this month

#44

there was no mistake?? this was intentional bc everyone was pretty clear back in december/january that it would turn out exactly like this

#45

if there's no mistake then why tf r u mad? they made the schedule for this year, they've admitted that it was wrong and changes are coming

You do realize exactly the same thing happened the year before franchising right?? Wtf does franchising have to do with a 6 month off season that they said they will fix

Ofc I hate the 6 month off season but I think your IQ might be too low to target the correct problem. Same with the tier 2 system, needs a rework, and they know. How tf is that franchising fault

#29

Frags

yeah exactly, vlr users think that riot created the most stable idea of an esports league and just gonna run valorant which has as much potential if it catches on in china lol

bbbbbut my NA t2 players

in EU and APAC tier 2 players have dealt with this since inception, and even in NA teams have been dropping in and out people are such bandwagoners when twitter personalities say things

It's literally first year of franchising and the schedule already fked since first master was changed on the fly to lock in.
