till when are we gonna pretend we care about t2?

i watched quite a lot of it, and its honestly boring unless it is the last final match of ascension.
its a good system to bring in a new team every year, but i cba to watch it the same way i watch tier 1.

have seen enough crying threads about t2 beign left out, but honestly i couldnt care less. i want the best of the best things to happen in the tier 1 scene, bigger prize pool, more teams, better casts, better arenas, larger crowds, better gameplay.

you need t2 valo to thrive for t1 to be a competitive otherwise the same players are gonna be recycled on different rosters and new players wont get a chance.

look at how many current tier 1 players in csgo were recently in tier 2 this is one of the reaosns why csgo is so much better. the tier 2 scene in that game is thriving thanks to valve being against franchising/partnership. i swear you will never see a tier 2 team making a run at val champs to grand final but in csgo theres opportunies for everyone no matter what level you are at.

blast/esl both have partnered teams tbf, but yeah the scene is way less segregated + a ton more events legitimizing a path to t1 for scrubs. valve does jack shit for the cs esport scene tho, so don't give GabeN any credit.

majors, iems, blast events would all be like valorant where only partnered teams can play if it wasnt for valve stepping in. i will alwyas give them credit for that

That’s a you issue. I know I, as well as many others, really enjoyed watching T2. Watching OXG and MxM get better and better every match was 10 times more entertaining than seeing 100T, SEN, LEV, etc get worse every match and consistently shit the bed

(what im getting at: dead tier 2, dead tier 1 because players are recycled. you need grassroots to build a healthy and developing tier 1 that isn't just people reinventing themselves)

yep keep t2 at a sustainable level. i honestly dont see how riot can do more for tier 2 in "NA" specifically. like the formatting and other stuff is obvious, but that has little to do with money, but more to do with their vision.

what needs support is emea and some other regions in apac, but seeing NA pros crying after they got all that viewership, money, org support etc etc is so weird to me. especially when seeing people comment about how champs prize pool being increased to 2m+ is a waste and should rather be used to support t2. like no, i want t1 to be bigger and better each year.

True bro. Americas tier 2 atleast has just one league per region and that with actual big orgs in it (tsm, faze etc.) While EMEA has like 5-6 different leagues (even some countries got their own one) and most of the teams arent even near big orgs. They got TSM we got Gentle Mates and Gonext esports
