To me it sounds like M80 and MxM did not drop their rosters, but allowed their players to seek for opportunities in Tier 1 but will take them back for next season if the players want.

Worse org? Shopify isn't necessarily a worse org, and might be paying more.
Worse team? Shopify is certainly a worse team, but individually the players are still very good, so maybe they see something we don't. They are currently winning every single t3 match, but to be fair, that is tier 3
