Jakee overreaction

Why are you mf's acting like he committed a crime? What he tweeted defending his gf was immature at worst and doesn't make him xenophobic or racist. Couple that with the fact that his team was so close to qualifying twice this year but fumbled hard and his chances of staying are not that high, just give the kid a break.

edit: too much ad hominem, can't believe I have to say this but I am asian so it's not even correct

you are who you spend time with

the fact that behavior was defended by him tells me everything i need to know about him as a person

does it make him xenophobic as his gf? nope, but he's still shitty for that

aite chill bruh 😭
he prolly didn't know how bad his gf's tweet is and he's just defend her immediately without knowing the severity of the fuckups that his girlfriend made.
I wouldn't judge an entire person because of that 💀

gf posting an xenophobic tweet
bf protects her, calling people jobless, bitchless and bad at the game
gf doubles down
gf apologizes because she realizes it will impact her bf
bf apologizes

yeah, not buying that shit

#14

the timeline was the gf doubles down first and then jakee 'defended' her, I honestly think it's just one of those heat of the moment, he just saw his gf getting attacked on twitter which she obviously deserve, and then jakee immediately defends his gf, after knowing how fked up what her gf actually tweeted, he immediately deleted the tweet defending her, that's sounds very plausible especially after that tough loss against LEV where he's mental state prolly not in the right place

Yes, lets normalize racism/xenophobia 'cause he was under pressure and feeling low because his team so close to qualifying
STFU what he and his gf did was wrong and he should be punished for it

#6

Like I fucking said, his mental state influenced his judgment so he made an immature statement to defend his gf, how tf is that normalizing anything? It was irresponsible at best and as long as he reflects on it and apologizes, it is nowhere as big of a situation as people are making it out to be

#11

does he really need to be punished though? I think the deserved hate send to him is enough, and he already apologized for it too. to be fair he's in the c9 chopping block if the team wants to improve even without this drama so he'll prolly be gone next year anyway

Yes, he needs to be punished or next time a team loses the players will get a free pass to racist/xenophobic comments

#17

why would this incident encourage players to make racist/xenophobic comments after their team loses? if anything this incident would make pro players wary about the tweets they made lmao

Bro are u dumb? Next time a player is racist/xenophobic riot can not do anything because they did nothing for jakee . He needs punishment from riot for other pros to be careful next time they tweet

Bro are u dumb?

Next time a player is racist/xenophobic riot can not do anything because they did nothing for jakee

Riot can absolutely do whatever they want, they've known for their inconsistencies and likes to bend their own rules after all

He needs punishment from riot for other pros to be careful next time they tweet

what??? do you think riot needs to set a precedent first so pros wouldn't be fucking racist? do you think the community outrage amounts to absolutely nothing to pro players?
"oh wow I get a lot of hate tweets from ppl on twitter oh hey but at least Riot didn't suspend me for a few matches" what an idiot

The community will forget this by the time champs end. That is why riot needs to punish him harshly so that the community and pros will not forget what happened with a racist/xenophobic

again, as I said from the other reply, punishment from Riot also could get easily forgotten, if anything the community would remember it more than riot because pro players always interacts with the community in one way or another

yeah can we give the kid a break? he's just a 20 year old minor. a baby. he doesn't know any better. he got picked up by c9 out of college. as we all know, college isn't a institution of higher learning or anything. how was he supposed to know that defending xenophobia or racism is bad. give him a break. he lost in his video game can everyone please send him some sympathy. /s

Bro jakee literally removed her girlfriend's @ from his bio on Twitter. What else do y'all want?

Too many virtue signaling and drama starved mf's on the internet, also extremely low levels of empathy and ability to correctly understand certain behavior

ok next time i'll make a racist/xenophobic comment and remove my bio. Are you fine with that? Of course no
riot needs to punish this guy like TenTen or in the future nobody will be afraid of passing racist/xenophobic comments

the community backlash from this alone is punishment, his reputation is practically in the gutter. people arent going to see this and openly be racist/xenophobic, in fact probably the opposite will happen

#26
Hard2Decipher

Frags

do you actually think anyone will remember this after a few months? No
This will be forgotten, that is why a punishment from riot will suffice this incident

does anybody remember keznits racial comments from a year ago? the only reason i even remember it is because of trembo. even with sanctions, racist people will be racist

#31
Hard2Decipher

yes, nobody remembers that is exactly the reason why jakee could make such racist/xenophobic remarks.
imagine if riot had harshly punished keznit back then, jakee would not have the balls to say what he said.

punishment from riot would also gets forgotten LMAO
how many people still remember that zellsis said some fucked up shit to one of the Riot's staffs and he get suspended for it?

I agree he can be forgiven, but C9 should publicly put him in some racial/xenophobia training. Every mistake is an opportunity to learn and improve. I am unsure if Riot's punishment is necessary since he never made only xenophobic comments, but a one/two-match ban wouldn't be crazy.
