M80 roster exploring offers

Gianfranco "koalanoob" Potestio was the first to advertise his unrestricted free agency, with three of his teammates following soon after. Daniel "eeiu" Vucenovic is the only player who has not revealed his current status, however, Prodigy Agency CEO Jérôme Coupez confirmed on Twitter eeiu will also be seeking offers. Coaches Vincent "Happy" Schopenhauer and GUNTER have not made their status public either.

M80 CEO Marco Mereu stated the organization hopes to return to 2024 with this team "as a unit," but that the current roster has "a right to explore any opportunities they feel would be best for them if not with M80."

M80 ended 2023 as one of the best teams in the Americas, coming into VCT Ascension Americas with two titles under their belt. The roster suffered just two losses in the North American Challengers League's group stages, scoring near-perfect records across both the Mid-Season Face Off and the second split's Playoffs.

However, in Ascension, M80 placed second, just two maps away from claiming the coveted spot in the VCT Americas League for the 2024 and 2025 seasons. The Guard The Guard Inactive JonahP Jonah Pulice trent Trent Cairns neT Michael Bernet valyn Jacob Batio tex Ian Botsch outlasted the team in the Bo5 grand final, where M80 won just one map (Ascent, 13-11) before dropping the next three and losing the grand final 3-1.

100T should be in talks with at least two or three of the players on this M80 roster, Probably JohnQT or Zander for an IGL replacement for Stellar and I feel like Derrick would be replaced by maybe eeiu or honestly JohnQT/Zander as well depending on which pairing they want. They really just need a sentinals/smokers/controllers and JonnQT covers the IGL/Sentinel role pretty soundly, so maybe they'd just take one or the other of Zander/eeiu after that. Should be interesting to see what they end up doing, though.

Additionally, this could be a huge opportunity for C9 to pick up some needed talent too, but to be fair Jake and Runi were great until qualifiers. I feel like at least Runi should be given another chance, because he lead them in their dominance through the entirety of the split and they were crushing everyone. He's still young, though, and deserves the chance to improve and come back stronger, especially after such great results initially.
