EU scene

I really like how Eu scene is looking, so unpredictable but not because of inconsistency, because of innovation and roster moves.

G2 has qualified to the main event through the hardest bracket, they are looking soo good, they are extremely flexible and adaptive and they have just a week of practice (Mixwell has learned 4 agents in two weeks) All their duelist can play other roles (Nukkye had fever both days)... time definitely runs in their favor

FNC still as creative as always the new compo on Bind was sick and would have worked against any other team, but G2 improvised the best utility bait I've seen. I'm sure they will come back with new things

Acend has the best firepower in Eu imo, all the team is sick but cNed is just another level.

Heretics, I expected a lot more from them, but to be fair they have just a week of practise they have been on holidays for the last month waiting for Al0rante to finish exams. They have the potential let's see if they can comeback

Liquid, Jamppi is starting to flex but I honestly don't know what to expect from them

FPX, I think they to change a player, or redesign their playstyle

GUILD, I have always thought that Bonkar was holding the team back, but I have to admit that the team results have prove me wrong, so even that I still not liking him don't touch what works

Also the tier 2 teams are improving a lot: Wave, Alliance, Finest, Vitalty NiP, Rix, Megastitut, Giants, BIG, TENSTAR or BDS (they have the aim, but they play full games with one set-up, they really need to work on that), etc...

Anyway I don't think anything of this is enough to beat SEN, at least if SEN keeps developing their game. What do you think?

Tier 1 NA> Tier 1 EU, but
Tier 2 EU> Tier 2 NA no cap
Edit: don't know why this is so unpopular, Na teams are the only ones to take maps off SEN while the other regions couldn't even get 1
Edit 2: ok I shall admit defeat this time, didn't know this was such a bad take sadge

"NA teams are the only ones to take maps off SEN" yeah when SEN was considerably weaker than they were at masters. I mean, SEN dropped a map to t1, do you think theyre better than fnatic? even shahzam has stated many times before that he rates the t1 scene of EU significantly higher than NA.

Also EU has had two matches against SEN, NA hundreds

Don't recall him ever saying "significantly", you may be misremembering. Also, I'm not saying you're wrong, but he wasn't including SEN when talking ab all this stuff, SEN is a big reason why, at least I think, NA tier 1 > EU tier 1

lmfao why u guys down fragging hes right. alliance almost beat liquid and vitality and finest look really good. tier 2 teams in na are like renegades and soniqs and the chances of them beating teams like sen or 100 thieves are very low

People are not downfraging him for the Tier2 EU > Tier2 NA, they are downfraging him for the Tier 1 NA> Tier 1 Eu. Do you really think C9B, Envy, 100T, V1 > Acend, G2, Liquid, FPX, GUILD? (I’m not counting FNC or SEN That’s why we say SEN > EU > NA)

Personally I'd say Tier 1 EU = Tier 1 NA, they're on similar levels... we saw in iceland that FNC > V1 > TL, and let's face it, V1 isn't the 2nd best team in NA and TL isn't the 2nd best team in EU. As for Tier 2 yeah EU > NA.

Ofcourse they would, NA scrim other NA teams all the time. Shazam even stated that EU teams are better than NA teams. SEN being the best in the world ofc.

finest is putting up very good fights against t1 teams they look very good.

heretics is built off of potential, so i think they need to switch out pati and ardiis in the future for younger players, lowel can stay as a mentor/igl

SEN > EU > NA

EU is good scene competitively, but viewership wise it makes me Sadge

big teams can play and it barely pull in the same viewership as some random NSG monthly tournament

to be fair CSGO is still alive in EU unlike NA

#12

yes but is not like the game times clash with CS scene anyway. Be interesting to see viewership split for EU Valorant game, how many of them are from EU and how many from NA

#15

fair point, however, the occasional game such as G2 vs Fnatic yesterday will get 20k+ viewers, which I find interesting

Is not that alarming if you count EMEA instead of EU, (110K watching BBL yesterday, Turkish power kekw). You have to count all the languages. We were 20k watching the G2 vs FNC yesterday in the Spanish stream (It was on a channel even without twitch partner). So is not that the EU viewers are bad, more like NA viewers are sick

#21

yes turkish is an exception, but even then it is only when BBL play.

G2 vs FNC is like one of the most hyped match up I can imagine. Literally the 2nd best team in the last tournament vs a new 'super team' in G2. There is a good narrative and story line of G2 redemption and FNC being the best team in EU from the last tournament. But 20k (and maybe 30-40k if u count other streams too) is pretty disappointing IMO. Like G2 vs FNC in every esports will get a lot of views just because of their name alone. I was expecting like 50k viewership on main stream alone, especially after the very good viewership in Iceland. But maybe my expectation was just too high.

it was streamed on caster channels plus it was just a qualifier match for the main event

Iceland had almost same viewers as Cs historical record, we can not expect that always, at least not this year, just let the time pass

I think EU forces their players out of their roles to make certain team comps work. Might throw opponents offguard but a player not playing his full isn't good

#28

Why don’t you get 5 duelist then?? Is not about forcing players to play out of their comfort zone, is about having players that are confortable in more than one role. I think that’s exactly what makes Eu strong.

Do you think putting tenz on smoke or zombs on sentinel would be efficient? That's what I'm talking about. Not every player excels at playing duelist role either. I was disappointed with magnum on breach and doma on brim

#30
Mortadelo

Frags

It will be efficient if it has a purpose in the macro. Just like cNed top frags with Sage, Doma with Brim…etc. If your players can’t flex you can’t surprise or innovate. And also what tells you that Riot is not gonna hard nerf all duelists or all Sentinels tomorrow. Flex is the future

#31

I agree flex makes teams more unpredictable but doesn't putting a W key holder on late round playstyle make him uncomfortable?
sage on split and bind is a great agent to play and we saw cned flex between these roles as he likes to play aggressive. Wouldn't it be better to put doma on aggressive role like raze/omen while mistic on brim or other controller? he's been sticking to viper and doesn't play any other agent much

But did you see FNC game plan on Bind? It was perfect anyone would have been hard stomped, but somehow G2 managed to massively bait their utility, I don't know whose call was that but he literally won the game with that. Watch a team were every player sacrifices for the wealth of the team and has a purpose on the game is more beautiful for me

These arguments are funny because so many people think Sen is the only good NA team.

Like.... how does everyone forget that V1 beat the Number 1 EU seed.

We only saw 2 teams from each region play each other.
From those games we learned That only 1 team so far in EU can beat the 2 seed in NA.

While it’s a very small sample size, from the results we currently have, NA Teir 1 > Eu Tier 1.

This is FACT and supported by evidence. Until Berlin, there is no argument to be had. NA > EU

Ok so bbg is better than all eu teams? Shazam even said that the majority of EU teams are better than NA...
If anything you can't make a judgement until champions.

If BBG beat Eu teams every time they played, then yes.

Also, teams said Vikings were amazing!!!!! We saw how that turned out.

Shahzams scrimbux don’t mean shit lol.

We both know that V1 is not the real seed 2 of NA (and less without Zellsis). Just like Liquid is definitely not the seed 1 of EU

i don't think Alliance is a total tier 2, maybe tier 1.5 with Vitality. Vitality in the recent map so tight and discipline while alliance have several players step up and decent like Kadavra, and Hype

#43

I agree, Vitality has played reaaaally good. They could have won FPX but they hard trolled the first map, and the Brezee against G2 was really good. But Alliance... I think they still have a lot of work to do...
