i mean i like everything they say in the interview, but being so confident about their fracture specifically? we all know they are good at that map, but as the great balla once said 70-30 rule, no team is guaranteed to win a map of valorant. this might bite them back , as if they lose fracture, they might not feel as confident in their abilities going forward into the series?

this is definitely me waffling and overthinking, but i still wont want any team, especially a team on a Cinderella run like eg to be so confident about a particular map

EG objectively has the best fracture itw and it would be a troll for fnc to let it through. You are right that if fnc beat them on that map it would hurt their confidence but I think we all know that EG would win.

NRG took EG comp and had a close game against fnc on fracture their first time using it.
Liquid beat fnc on fracture and got 13-2d by EG.

They will not play fracture again this tournament unless it’s in a BO5

Not necessarily true. I mean yeah they are strong, arguably on par with Fnatic, but I don't think they have what it takes (at the moment) to bounce back if they lose their match against FNC unlike NRG. Happy to be proven wrong though.

fnc second half was very dominant against nrg, + fnatic had prepared for nrg's old comp and not this sova comp, so they had to adapt in game a lot. + with very fresh vods on eg fracture, i think it is going to be very close.

It’s because alfajer has the qualifications to say that as he has proven himself time and time again meanwhile this is eg’s 1st tournament they are playing at this level even in Americas they barely qualified then sure they beat nrg and c9 but they the lost to loud with map 3 being a stomp and they lost 3-1 to nrg and yes sure you could say eg destroyed liquid and fnatic lost to them on fracture 13-11 but fnatic were playing so bad in that final the fact it was still 13-11 with how bad fnatic were playing tells you something especially when you consider how good they are currently playing plus other than icebox and bind before this year fracture was their 2nd best map so eg are getting quite arrogant acting like they are invincible on fracture

The problem is they are saying it against fnatic they are 1 of the best fracture teams in the world and they are in top form as well it is arrogant with that context.
you don’t see fnatic going around saying they have the best lotus and bind so teams should ban those maps.
