Riot Games has announced the full details of the upcoming Team Deathmatch game mode, which will include several features from typical Valorant play.

Team Deathmatch will take place on three purpose-built maps, which Riot consider to be simple and intuitive: Piazza, District, and Kasbah. Each match will take up nine minutes and 30 seconds, which are split into four progressively deadlier stages of combat, each with a unique selection of loadouts. A team will win TDM by reaching 100 kills or being ahead when the timer runs out. In the event of a tie, a draw is called.

Players will spawn every 1.5 seconds in a spawn room, where they'll be granted with 15 seconds of invulnerability. This time can be used to pick out loadouts: a sidearm, from a selection available during all stages, along with a gun from a different selection made available for each of stage.

Weapons will also be scattered throughout the maps in Weapon Spawners, fixed locations with match and stage-specific guns. The weapons self-destruct whenever their ammo is depleted — alternatively, a player can destruct the weapon with their drop weapon keybind and return to the pre-selected loadout weapon.

Alongside guns, TDM will include abilities. These will recharge over time once depleted. Different abilities take different amounts of time to recharge. An ultimate's charge can be sped up by ultimate orbs, which spawn periodically around the map and charge up a percentage of the ultimate. Kills also charge ultimates. The map will also include Recovery Orbs. These will restore health and shield over six seconds.

Every TDM match hands out 1000 XP, and contributes two Checkpoints Progress in the revamped progression system. The new system will rework daily missions and introduce the Kingdom Credits, which will be the new currency used to unlock agents, their gear and previous battlepass accessories.
