Here is my pickems for you guys to see how I feel these playoffs will end up.
I have to say I was sleeping on Chinese teams; I really did not expect them to be that good.

Well this good be a long thread if you like analyses, join me please.
I'll be editing this post, if you like to ad something we all agree, I'll do that.
LET'S COOK!

PRX: I did not watch enough (2 maps) to have a decent idea how good they are actually. But they won the league, so I'm joining the train here and saying that PRX is a top contender.

It looks like they are innovating a lot with comps, and it is working. Unpredictable teams are always scary.
If you are an NA fan, you know that C9 is "our PRX" in terms of aggression and crazy stuff. As I said, this kind of playstyle can surprise a lot of teams in the beginning but does not work in the long run in a competitive league.

That said, Masters Tokyo is a short tournament, and they can win it.

DRX: I really expected them to performed better, I feel like they still too predictable, the match DRX vs EG in group stage showed us that.
But whatever they won against EMEA seed 3, they deserve to be in the playoffs.

PRX vs DRX: we can all agree PRX is favorite here right.

__

FNC: 2nd EMEA seed. They have had one loss this entire year so far.
They have looked like the most dominant team in EMEA, showing they are a solid team (despite losing the finals).
Anyone discounting this team because of one loss is just wrong; they are still one of the favorites of the tournament.

NRG: 2nd NA seed and a solid team, lost to LOUD 3x0 in a Grand Final but all maps were close (13x9; 13-11; 13x11), they can win Masters Tokyo too.

FNC vs NRG: This match have no favorites. If you are an EMEA fan thinking FNC will destroy NRG you are delusional.

____

TL:

EDG:

TL vs EDG

____

LOUD: Looking like the best team in the world, they always perform better in playoffs and are heavily rumored to have new strategies saved up for masters Tokyo. They play an adaptable style that allows them to play faster and slower depending on the round and how the other team is playing. This is all due to Saadhak one of the best midrounders in all of Valorant and their 2 biggest stars Less and Aspas who are both able to direct rounds and reads off of their insane ability to get kills on their own.

EG: a team composed of an old core of semi-tier 1 pros, has shot up to the highest levels of Valorant after the pickup of Demon1. EG used to be the underdogs, but have certainly proved they deserve to be on the stage. They play a very adaptable attack side, which means they like to play to other team’s weaknesses. Their defense side on the other hand is the opposite of scrappy. They like to play for retake and they like to find advantages through smart trap plays. They have never gotten close to beating Loud, but with their individual form right now they look like they could be pulling off any upset.

LOUD vs EG: This match has no favorites (yeah, I'm a loud fan, but EG is looking scary, bro).
I'd say loud (53% vs. 47% EG).

Oh, bro, that's a good point.
How are they going to be affected by that?

I mean, I was convinced that EG would still win against DRX even without Demon 1.

Something is 90% of the PRX team?

Something is X factor of prx

Whole Reyna comp was based on him

I see, bro, what is your perception of this match after seeing DRX on stage?
PRX still win or is it kinda 50-50 now?

Prx likely to lose

Cgrs is not even close
.it's like 30:70

Prx can only win if drx plays like today

If drx becomes structured again they are likely to lose

omg
You're making me think that PRX is a one-player team like people think about EG and Demon1.

But it's true no? Prx with benkai haven't beat drx ever. Cgrs is probably around as good as benkai.

cgrs is good, but doesn't really fit the system quite the same. Im afraid that PRX will fall off with cgrs if they don't make the adaptations quickly. This is more to do with forsaken proving to be a very good flex player, especially in the sentinel and controller roles (which is due to his more passive nature compared to his teammates)

If you look at their roster, something is back replacing cgrs

FNC vs NRG

FNC: They had one loss this entire year so far, during a game that really didn’t matter besides a trophy. They have looked like the most dominant team in EMEA without showing anything unique (despite losing the finals). It’s still alfajer, chronicle, Leo and Derke on a team
We know for a fact we are going to see a lot of new things out of fnatic
Anyone discounting this team because of one loss is just wrong, they still are one of the favorites of the tournament

NRG: they’ve looked good so far this tournament but also very fallible, they very nearly lost to t1 and the navi game wasn’t easy either
This game against fnatic will be an uphill battle if fnatic are playing up to even their regular standard

I think Fnatic are the favorites and I think and hope they win

LOUD VS EG

Loud: looking like the best team in the world, they always perform better in playoffs and are heavily rumored to have new strategies saved up for masters Tokyo. They play an adaptable style that allows them to play faster and slower depending on the round and how the other team is playing. This is all due to Saadhak one of the best midrounders in all of Valorant and their 2 biggest stars Less and Aspas who are both able to direct rounds and reads off of their insane ability to get kills on their own.

Evil Geniuses: a team composed of an old core of semi-tier 1 pros, has shot up to the highest levels of Valorant after the pickup of Demon1. EG are the underdogs, but have certainly proved they deserve to be on the stage.

I'd just copy and paste, but, bro, EG is not an underdog anymore.
Haha, stop it. EG is a contender for me; their performance is above average.

really appreciate your help buddy!

yep you only watch BR -> loud matches. proved here. you tried to be non biased, but its quite obvious how less you know about teams outside of americas

you can still have those pickems, its your personal opinion after all. but they can change heavily if you had more information/awareness about other teams

No, bro, I watch America and Europe, and I can compare their performances very well.
The Americas League is stronger than the EMEAS League in general.
I'm not biased at all here.

EMEA is overrated and wont make it to finals. They're terrible against asian teams. Champs 2022 they went 1-5 against DRX in playoffs and now asian teams are improving every tourney with 3 teams in playoffs.

Finals will be Asia Vs Americas or Americas vs Americas.

#25

Yeah, they can win it all.
like NRG, FNC, PRX, TL or EG.
The rest of the teams are secondary contenders.

Okay but you said "no biased people" lol I could say the same with NRG

Sir, excuse me for pointing out that you say here in your comment that TL is one of the teams that can win it all, while EDG is not one.
And yet, you still assume that TL will lose to EDG. How does that work ?

If one team is one of the potential winners, and the other is not, then how can you favour the contender over the non-contender ?
I am failing to see the logic.

TL is likely gonna win 85-15 but I think there’s a world where all 5 EDG players turn up and that’s the only case they can win or bring it hella close.

honestly it's anybody's game still, insanely competitive lineup. only thing is that DRX looks the weakest here, for all other teams there's a big shot for everyone. i'd still say FNC/LOUD are very slight favorites but it's generally pretty even odds for all other teams, there's a shot to win for all of them, maybe a bit weaker on DRX.
