DRX is just a KR Leviatan

DRX is already an obsolete team. The usual pick a site, execute, and go for extreme passive post plants with line ups will work against lesser teams but it's wack against high level teams. This stagnant 2022 protocol heavy playstyle is their downfall

I mean only their fracture is the one they play the post plants with the defuse stall. Their pearl is stall heavy

#7
HassanWillSaveAmerica

Frags

All of their maps post plants are passive they just being forced to fight since almost all their opponents just flood the site and not let them set up but if given the chance they always go to passive post plants route

I mean ig but solid play is good most of the time. Its also why they brought foxy9 to help break the monotony of thw slow plays and defaults they normally do and have a risk taker on their team.

#15
HassanWillSaveAmerica

Frags

You right they brought in foxy9 in hopes of cultivating a superstar but the core problem is their system. At this point foxy9 is being integrated into a passive system instead of being a real game changer for them

ig they already hit their peak (3rd place itw) last year and now on a downward spiral cus teams catched up

#21

That was their peak they tried making some changes in hopes of reaching new heights but their core system never changed, still always a passive team

they change a bit tho when foxy was playing they became a bit more aggressive i guess?

Leviatan is not bad, tacolila underperformed a lot. DRX stax underperformed a lot as well.
Is hard to any team to qualify is their star player underperform besides their IGL.
Is easier to carry an IGL underperforming than star player underperforming.
Leviatan could easily go to Tokyo if Tacolila did not played that BAD
Same as DRX, if Stax played better.

Bro even if all of them performed they will still not win a trophy even with all the potential and they will remain stagnant as ever because of their playstyle

straight up spitting facts, preach brother

as a DRX enjoyer it's really sad to me that they are still playing like this
when they have quality to do better

KR LoL teams adapt better than everyone else in the world

#26

That confuses me as well KR mentality has never been rigid but in Val they straight up so one dimensional

I'm tired of drx just doing a set strat and never pivoting and then every post plant is lineups or Mako 1v4s

rare W take coming from you, it's always like if things didn't go according to their plan, they're clueless on what to do. the old ways clearly works wonders but nowadays it won't work anymore, it's an IGL/coach problem they need to change their ways

I would say that LEV roll DRX

LEV almost beat EG, let's remember

DRX is going to lose. They have a very predictable game of always playing on the pixel.

#39

They are probably the easiest team to anti strat in tokyo

#40
exTer

I feel they didn't find the proper way to integrate foxy9 in their play style yet. Also foxy9 and stax underperformed a lot vs EG. Hope they can bounce back and find their form but I'm quite sure they will play better next match. But they are lacking fire power to match the best teams and fight for trophies.

#41
HassanWillSaveAmerica

Frags

Dude wdym? Foxy9 integrating into DRX playstyle is the worst outcome when the playstyle/system itself is the problem, it will not change anything it will just make foxy9 a passive mf

#43
exTer

Frags

I agree they are being super passive, and this is the main reason for the poor game against EG. But they had aggressive rounds at Ascent and lost a few important ones with advantages due to poor individual decisions and team coordination. I feel they need more work to develop chemistry and teamwork with foxy9. Also, they definitely need to play more loose and aggressive in some moments. Stax and foxy9 really need to step up.

I that NAVI, LEV, and DRX have all had issues rooting from the fact they kept the majority of their roster. Dont get me wrong, this doesn't create issues by itself, but all three teams held onto a LOT of core strats, playstyles, roles, and comps, that make them incredibly readable. The reason why the top teams are the best rn is not because they were the best last season, its because they've learned how to move with the meta and truly play new valorant, not the same valorant with 1-2 more new players. If any of these three teams wants to truly succeed in my eyes they have to make some massive strategic changes, the core of each of their playstyles has become so readable to the point of them losing matches against much worse teams.

#44
HassanWillSaveAmerica

Frags

Agreed with LEV DRX but not with NAVI even if i hate EU frogs NAVI is not so easy to anti strat but it's different for LEV and DRX they're so easy to read bc they adhere to protocols too much

#46

NAVI doesn’t really have “protocols”, but their default playstyle I feel really struggles in Skye meta. They are definitely taking steps in the right direction with comps I think they realize that their weakness in changing the pace (lacking fast execs) really hurt them which is where the yoru came from.

Yeah you can’t really true anti strat slow defaulting but a good igls have it really easy against them IMO.

I get what you are saying that they don’t really fit into the Lev DRX category tho

#49
HassanWillSaveAmerica
0
Frags
+

That is what i said NAVI is not so easy to anti strat since most of the time they have game plans and they follow their win conditions but i agree them lacking fast execs is a major weakness for them but it's different for LEV and DRX
