how is this fair? its cool that riot is helping out a small and new region but what about other ones?
small region OCE has been around for a long time but constantly neglected. why can't we get free slots to masters? and how come edg and ase get to cheat the system and automatically qual before split 2 even starts?
its because riot is scared that WBG and RNG are going to qualify, and riot can't have OCE players having any success.

I've watched APAC quite a lot. But I never impress with OCE every time they performed in Challenger or LCQ (Order or Bonkers). Individually, I only knew Rdeew and Wronski since sometimes they make a really good play. While China, when they have a chance, they destroyed LCQ East Asia (which in general is better than APAC)....
no money yes but good players and teams we fucking have. i understand money and viewership is shit but if we were given the same opportunities as other teams have, for example we don't have big orgs in the valorant scene (riot's fault there isnt) which means small/growing orgs like 95x and nerdpunt have to take over. 95x were able to provide a bootcamp in split one so they can scrim sea teams and that was great. but apart from that there hasnt been the same amount of support for our teams as other regions, its gonna take a while for the orgs to grow big enough to do more. we have lots of indivisual talent trapped here and nobody to give a chance. lets take some examples, although they arent the best, tixx and autumn wrecked tier 2 india in split 1. maple and pl1xx could hold their own against the best in china, swer and signed are having a rough strat but their stats are improving every day, wronski also is having a rough start but he has what it takes.
we have teams like 95x and nerdpunt and funcrew who are all capable of doing a lot of damage through individual skill, good strat calling and counter strats and more. we really do have what it takes if given a chance, i am positive. sadly we wont but i know we are capable of starting from the bottom and rising to the top.
tbh china is better than OCE, even if we get 5 best OCE players, they would probably lose to kru

Tbh since last lock in tournamen i dont understand why their region get direct invitiation to the big competition,
Not 1 slot but 2. I feel like because they missed out on franchise because of game release problem or something, they should get the same treatment as a lot of region that didnt get any franchise representation. They should play in challengers and fighting for ascension like many other teams. Or atleast if riot really wants a representation from china, they should make a tournament similar to lcq but with other unfranchised teams, perhaps the one who won the ascension got to play in champions? This way i think its more fair
Having them under Challenger will basically killed the game. They had to start big and separate to the scene right away
Remember that the game they have to beat, is not CS but Crossfire
having China to start in a small Challenger for without clear path vs a Complete National-level ecosystem (wrapped under a $1M franchising league) that CS has failed to matched local viewership against CF [and yes there is more people watching Comp CF than Comp CS in China], will spoke GG for VAL in China before it even began.

Have you seen any Tencent-owned scene that China was small, none. Even the lowest (Clash series of mobile games) they still has it as separate spot
Have no guaranteed spots for them competitive = might just better skipping China market or see how Asian CS looks like atm.
