Crashes
● If a match is interrupted for reasons beyond the control of the Players (e.g.
server or player crash), the Tournament Official will restore the round using
the in-game round restore feature, but in some scenarios may decide to replay
the round or even a whole match.
● If the issue takes place during the first minute of the round, before any damage
has occurred and the opponent or referee has been immediately notified, the
round will be restored.
● If the issue takes place during a round and after the damage has been made
and the outcome of the round can still be determined (e.g. a single player has
dropped but others remain), then the round will not be replayed or restored.
The round will continue to be played and will count. Special exceptions can be
made if the damage dealt was ruled insignificant e.g. accidental teammate
damage dealt at the start of the round or damage dealt to the opposing side by
the team that was affected by the crash.
● If the issue takes place during the round, after damage has occurred and the
outcome of the round cannot be determined (e.g. due to server crash), the
match will be restored to the beginning of the round.
● If the issue takes place during the round, after damage has occurred and the
outcome of the round is obvious (e.g. one team is saving with 10 seconds
remaining), but it cannot be continued due to for example a server crash, then
the round can be awarded.
● The matches will not be stopped and/or rounds will not be restored or replayed
in cases where it is clearly a participant's fault (e.g. mis-buying a weapon).

I understand that it may seem like a lot to read, but I appreciate your time and consideration. As fellow Valorant fans, I think it's important to engage in meaningful discussions and debates about the game and its competitive scene. So, if you have any thoughts or opinions on the topics I've brought up, I'd be interested in hearing them. Let's not be too quick to dismiss each other's perspectives and experiences.

man they didnt know about marved, if tuyz was alive they would mininum have a communication about someone near spike... They just hear the spike but they are too far... The impact is huge when Tuyz was disconnected

No?
" If the issue takes place during the round, after damage has occurred and the
outcome of the round is obvious (e.g. one team is saving with 10 seconds

the round can be awarded."

That situation is a obvious win for LOUD though

Loud had most of their team still alive but none of them ran back to stop marved

If the player didn't disconnect:

  1. Marved would've killed him and defused the spike
  2. Marved would've killed him but spike timed out
  3. Tuyz would've killed Marved
  4. Tuyz would've went along with other 4 players and Marved would've defused the spike
    ....

I guess we will never know what the outcome would be. Hence, the round should be replayed or restored.

In the map you can see that Aspas wants to go back but decides not to, he mistimed the speak, that interaction lost them the round.

So yeah, Loud could have but no one did.

The outcome of the round was not obvious. Marved was attempting to retake and the round could be continued. The server did not crash, one player disconnected. Point #3 is much more applicable here

By the rules then it's round for LOUD

Nah by the rules it’ll be a round replay

Nope, according to rules, round goes to SEN since the round started and 3rd point applies.

in not a single case they mention "giving the round to the team that lost" or "giving the round to the team that had a player crash" so idk how tf u came to that conclusion.

sen should get the round

By this is goes to SEN, no?

all i'm gonna say is that LOUD knew tuyz was disconnected, yet didn't make a single attempt to actually stop the defuse. that's on them for miscalculating and not realizing marved had enough time

Point 3 is the important point here. Point #5 is irrelevant because it describes a round where the outcome was confirmed (SEN was NOT saving) and the round could not be continued (server did not crash - one player did). Another important thing to note for anyone wondering why XSET vs FPX was replayed a while back - there is separately defined criteria for bugs. Section 9.1.2 of the same document notes the following:

"A bug that significantly impacts a Player’s ability to compete in the game,
significantly alters game stats or gameplay mechanics, and has no reasonable
mitigation steps. The determination of impact will be at the sole discretion of
Tournament Officials."
